Chapter 55:- JUST GREAT!

     The ride wasn't unbearably silent unlike before. Maybe because they were all occupied with their own thoughts so the silence was actually comfortable.
     As they were about to completely immerse themselves in a comfortable silence, both the phones of the 'couples' rang.
     They both stared at each other before turning to their phone. For Logan it was Clara and for Evelyn it was Ryan just great!
     Logan directly cut the phone and threw it to the passengers seat clearly telling Sawyer to deal with her. Maybe get remembered being called a manipulative idiot.
     'Hahahaha the Young Miss is so capable. Capable of affecting the First Master's entire life' Sawyer thought hiding his smile which soon faded as the phone kept on ringing. He would have tossed the phone out of the window but it wasn't his and he wasn't that insane.
     "If it rings again, throw it away" Logan simply said and Evelyn thought he was crazy. Wasn't it common sense to put it on airplane mode, do not disturb, switch it off, remove your SIM card or simply blacklist the person. Who throws their phone out for one useless person?.
     As luck would have it, the phone rang again and Sawyer immediately slowed down, then rolled the window down to throw away the phone.

      Evelyn's eyes widened in disbelief as she realised they were going to throw away that type of phone.
     "Are you insane?!. Hand it over this instant!"she finally snapped as she snatched the phone. Hers rang again and she put it on DND.
     "Aish!, rich people are impossible. If you don't want the phone, hand it over!. Why throw away something that looks ridiculously expensive away for someone who's not worth it"she scolded as she switched it off.
     "It's not that expensive, it's just a Falcon Supernova iPhone 6 Pink Diamond, valued at $48.5 million, why make it a big deal?"he casually asked and both Sawyer and her stared at him in disbelief .
     "Not that expensive?, give it to me then you ungrateful....."she stopped to take a deep breath. She shouldn't get mad at him, he's normally insane.
     "Okay then it's yours"he said and picked a new one just like that. He then picked a book and began reading leaving her dumbfounded.
    She just earned a phone worth  millions of dollars with a few words. Is today her lucky day?. Normally, she would be conscious enough not to show excitement so as not to be called a gold digger again but now,..... Ha! To hell with his opinions. She earned 48.5 million dollars. She is rich!.
     Logan watched her pure excitement. Did she really love the pink diamond that much?. Then he would buy things with diamonds for her. A shoe he had seen online flashed across his mind. Yes!, he would purchase that.

     Evelyn didn't know she would soon be pampered with diamonds by this man, if she had, she would drain his bank account dry. If a man is rich but with a bad attitude, then it's easy, she would teach him a lesson. She hadn't forgotten about his shares, by the end of this week, he would be so busy till he fainted.
     She didn't know why she had been hesitating. Maybe because he had been nice but something told her that he would soon change.
     The car finally stopped at a mansion, no! A castle. She hadn't paid attention to it the last time she was here but now, ha! Holy Mother Of Chocolate Chips, it was massive. 

   She swallowed as she looked at the mansion. Her eyes was stuck on the house. And only one person owned this place?. If it were her, she would have died of extreme boredom.
     Logan got down and helped her down. 'Awn, a gentleman' she thought sarcastically as she got down.
    Evelyn stared at the mansion and then at her gift and her clothes. Someone who lives in such a house, this gift would probably be thrown away and she might never be welcomed back. She could afford a truckload of it. This was the first time since her rebirth that she was conscious about the other person's feelings.
     "She would love it and you" Logan suddenly said. She hadn't spoken but he already guessed it. She turned to him to flash him a grateful smile before he led her inside.
     "Oh my days you're here" the Old Madam exclaimed as she pulled me into a bear hug quite surprisingly. She had a smile on her wrinkled face that made her looked so cute.
     Evelyn smiled back before hugging her back. She felt very warm and tears stung her eyes. She missed her mom although she didn't know her, she knew if she were alive, then she would love her.
     You might say that she has her grandmother but she wasn't that warm. She was neutral and cold to all her grandchildren. She also seeks justice and doesn't develop any emotional attachment.
     "Grandma it's so good to see you. I bought something for you. You don't have to keep it if you don't like it actually......"she was cut short immediately the gift was opened.
     "My goodness how lovely. This is so beautiful how did you know I loved calligraphy and tea?"she asked, her face beaming with excitement.
     "When I came I saw the pictures and you had a full kettle of jasmine tea so I made a good guess"she replied honestly and it seemed to warm the old woman inside out.
     "Logan take note. What a sensible child unlike you! You'll only visit once I'm admitted in an hospital and shop gifts to me on my birthday but never show up"she complained with a sour look.
     "Grandma, I'm busy making money. If I don't, would you have the things you show off to your friends?"he replied clearly exhausted at he nagging.
     "Hmph! You're still a bad grandson. I'm sure you'll be elated if I suddenly pass away. Just let me see my grandchild before I pass away"has said then turned to Evelyn. Logan sighed then sat down.
     She made Evelyn seat beside her after instructing the maid to put the gift on her bed carefully and it made her happy.
     "Wait use the tea set to make tea for us. It should only be used on important guests like this good grand daughter in-law of mine"she said and Evelyn choked on her saliva while Logan had no expression on his face.
     "Are you okay?!. Get her a cup of warm water. Aish you have to be careful. Look how fragile you are, and I heard you were recently admitted. Take it easy, you have plenty of time to do whatever"has replied and Evelyn's face flushed in em embarrassment.
     As the Old Woman lectures her, the amiable atmosphere was ruined by a particular someone.
     "Grandma I'm home" Clara said as she walked in with a few shopping bags.
     And for the third time that day, Evelyn sighed inwardly then said in her mind.
     'Just great!'
