Chapter 38:- Fiancé!?

Evelyn's eyes began to close at around 3:00am she slept off. With a bowl of popcorn cuddled in her hand and popcorn in her mouth she slept with a smile.

Evelyn woke up on the bed and yawned happily. There was a beautiful black cheongsam on the bed and she wore it. She was in a perfectly good mood, yesterday made her happy. But today she had to go meet her apprentice.
As she walked down from breakfast, she was told by Aunt Faye that Logan had left early for an important meeting with someone so she gloomily ate breakfast alone.
"Aunt Faye I have to go home. Thank you for the delicious breakfast" she said with a smile.
"Anytime, come back soon okay. You make the house bright and I promise there'll be snacks this time" Aunt Faye replied and Evelyn smiled at her.

She alighted from the cab and walked into the house and of cause there was chaos.
Alicia sat beside her grandmother, Caroline had a bad face as she was also a target of online criticism, The Old Madam was furious but Ryan was worse while Ava was crying heavily.
She had lost thousands of followers over night and had lost a lot of endorsement deals which costs thousands of dollars and worse of all Tyler wasn't picking up her calls.
Evelyn walked into the mansion with a genuine happy face. She couldn't care less about the gloomy atmosphere in the room.
"Sister you're back! How was it?" Alicia ran into her arms.
"I went to Paris, I flew in an helicopter and a plane" Evelyn replied and Ava gritted her teeth.
"How dare you come to show off?!. Don't tell me you're oblivious to what's going on!" Ava's aggrieved voice scolded.
"Ava sent a picture to you how did it get out!" Ryan's angry voice questioned her like a criminal.
"She did it! She uploaded it" Ava accused her.
"We cannot be so sure. Evelyn talk to me what happened?" her grandmother's gentle voice asked her.
"Don't accuse me without evidence nor interrogate me like a criminal. Does it look like I care about what's happening to you?. You sent a provocative picture to me and it got leaked online how is it my fault?"she asked with an innocent expression.
"Don't play dumb you did it!. How could you do this to me?"she asked accusatorially sobbing incessantly.
"So it's unfair?. When you deliberately had an affair with my fiancé it was fair right?"she asked with a mocking smile.
"You have broken up already!"she shouted on top of her voice.
"So you can swear you had not been together even when we were engaged?. Ava get yourself a sense of shame you disgust me" she said and a vein snapped in her, she launched at Evelyn determined to tear her into pieces.
Evelyn tried to defend herself but she was like a rabid dog, biting and scratching. Evelyn had enough and knocked her unconscious.
"You killed my daughter!" Caroline shouted crouching to her level.
"I thought you were calculating but I did not know you were this stupid. She died because I knocked her unconscious?. She can't die till I decide to kill her in cold blood" Evelyn said with a cold smile but Ryan slapped her hard in the face.
"You jinx of a child I'll teach you a lesson you'll never forget!" Ryan shouted and took his cane.
A strong whip landed on her back and a sweat broke out from her forehead as blood seeped from the wound created.
"Stop this madness!" The Old Madam shouted in anger coughing violently. She turned pale but soon calmed down.
"Let's all cool down, Evelyn she's your elder sister show her some respect and call the family doctor to check on them" The Old Madam declared and left with Alicia and Ryan.
"I know it's your fault, you'll regret it!" Caroline said and sent a servant to pick up her daughter.
Evelyn struggled to go out and hail a cab to the hospital owned by the Reign family.
When she entered, she immediately got attended to as the second daughter of the Stone Family.
Evelyn strolled in the hospital after being attended to with a bandage on her back, walking was difficult.
But as she walked, her eyes caught sight of Cole talking to a lady who looked lean and pale. Evelyn could tell she had suffered a big injury that had left her body broken down.
"Young Master Cole!" Evelyn called out. The woman turned to face her and she froze in her steps. 'Clara Voyant!' she exclaimed in her mind and a surge of anger rose in her chest.
Clara had been in love with Logan in her past life and seeing that Logan liked her, she teamed up with Tyler and Ava to separate them. She was a part of the big figures that ruined her life and anger bubbled in her seeing her.
"Miss Stone why are you here?" Cole asked with a nervous smile.
He didn't know how to explain to Logan that Evelyn had seen Clara his arranged fiancé. He had tried to put her out of the picture.
"I came to get a checkup, and I happen to run into you. How have you been?"she asked like they had been good friends.
Clara stared at the beautiful young lady with a slightly pale skin and a few scratches and cut. Even with the injuries, she was captivatingly beautiful and jealousy began to blossom slowly in her heart.
"Miss Stone you cannot say you did not see me?" Clara said in a proud voice.
"Who are you?"she asked obviously mocking her but there was no evidence.
"You...! I'm Clara Voyant, the Young Miss of the Voyant family no 4 on the charts" she said proudly but Evelyn nodded.
"That's a big introduction, but that doesn't mean I should still acknowledge you" Evelyn replied nonchalantly and her face changed drastically.
Cole didn't know how to react at that exchange so he quickly sent a message to his elder brother's.
Clara's face turned black and white in a second. Was she trying to anger her to death?. She had just met this bitch yet she had managed to make her heart rate increase in seconds.
"I just came to say hi I'll get going. Help me say hello to Second and First Master" she told Cole who nodded.
Evelyn was going to run late to the meeting if she didn't leave now but as she turned Clara grabbed her.
"What's your relationship with Logan and Ezekiel?"she questioned like she owned them.
"How's that any of your business?"she asked her back with an elegant smile which made Clara's face twist in anger.
"Logan is my fiancé I have every right!"she replied and Evelyn's smile froze then disappeared.
"If you want to lie at least make it believable" Evelyn said to her obviously not buying it.
"Do I look like a liar?" Clara taunted and showed her their engagement contract which was her phone's wallpaper.
Her head snapped towards Cole who looked away almost immediately making his heart beating terribly fast.
