Chapter 39:- NEVER EXISTED!

     "Shocked?" Clara taunted with a smile but Evelyn had an expressionless face.
     Evelyn wanted to retort but a deep male voice interrupted her.
     "Clara what are you doing here?"it was Logan who walked up to them with Ezekiel behind him.
     "Logan who is she and how did she know you?" Clara questioned angrily ignoring his question and Logan turned to face Evelyn.
     "A business associate" he replied coldly which made her scoff in disbelief.
     'A business associate?'. She fought back anger and tears and glared at Logan in his blind spot.
     "A business associate and she dares to act this rashly? I guess it's your sharp mouth that gave you those injuries" Clara snorted but Logan's eyes scanned her and there was an underlying anger in it.
     "Miss Stone how did you get that injury on your back?" Ezekiel's deep voice asked as his eyes was glued on her back.
     Logan's face snapped towards her back and his gaze darkened.
     "It's nothing you should worry about. I'll get going I have a meeting with someone. Thank you Young Masters and goodbye" she said turning to leave but Logan stopped her. 
     "Cancel the meeting you need to be admitted" he said and pulled her back into a private room and the rest followed.
     "Brother Logan I'm back" Clara's excited voice called out wanting the spotlight back on her and to hold him but he took a step back.
     "How are you?. You should be resting not going around. I was going to pick you up from the airport" Logan said in a gentle tone that he had never used even to her and Evelyn's hand curled up in anger.
     "I didn't want to trouble you, I'm fine" she said with a sweet smile.
     "You know you're not, you have to rest your body lest you fall sick again"he replied, worry etched in his voice which didn't seem to escape Evelyn's notice.
     "Awn thanks for your care brother Logan. By the way why's she here?"she pointed to Evelyn who's mood was irritable at that moment.
     "You don't have to worry about me. Treat me like I'm invisible" Evelyn said with a fake smile.
     "If you're to be admitted go to a room. You're not in our social circle" she said with a haughty smile.
     "Of course I'm not I'm far better than you" she replied with a mocking smile and Clara's face twisted in rage.
     "You wish!"she replied but Evelyn smiled.
     "The only thing you surpass me at is being a pale sickly plastic" Evelyn taunted and her face changed.
     "Evelyn!" Logan's hard voice scolded but she refused to be tamed.
     "What?, Did I lie?"she asked and Clara burst into tears and then coughed out blood.
     Her face paled and she looked like she would die soon. She collapsed and Ezekiel sped into action trying to resucitate her and Logan's face turned black in anger.
     He pushed her aside and walked towards Clara.
     Evelyn felt ridiculous. Her wound had opened and it began to bleed but they were all focused on Clara to care.
     Evelyn's eyes reddened and her tears threatened to fall but she sturbonly held them back.
     She walked out of the room but Cole caught up to her.
     "Miss Stone you're meant to be hospitalized where are you going?"he sounded really worried.
     "I don't need to I'm going home"she replied with a sad smile.
      "Miss Stone don't misunderstand First Brother. You see, ten years ago, their was a bomb blast targeting his life but Clara saved him, sacrificing her life. She took the hit and now her body is extremely damaged so what you see is Logan trying to show his sincere gratitude for saving him" Cole explained but what caught her attention was 10 years ago.
     Evelyn couldn't remember her life from ten years ago. She remembered she just woke up one day in a stranger's house in the countryside who told her she had been asleep for 2 years before she was moved to Diana's house a year later. She woke up when she was 10 but the accident that sent her to a coma happened when she was 8 years old. She had no impression about the accident.
     All her brain managed to remember now was that she was in a ball and there was a bomb blast. She knew first and protected this boy with her body. Then she woke up 2 years later in a countryside with a woman, her master who taught her everything she knows now.
     Her face paled as a thought struck her!. She might have saved Logan ten years ago not Clara but she couldn't recollet. When she tried to it was only a fuzzy memory that came out, shrouded by a mist like she had been hypnotized to forget but by who?.  Her master, or Diana?. Diana doesn't know anything about medicine so it should be her master but why?. She couldn't even break it, it was strong.
     Her head pounded, she felt light headed and soon her feet swayed and she collapsed with a loud thud.
     Evelyn's eyes fluttered open in a daze. She saw that she was receiving blood on one hand and fluid in the other. Her head pounded heavily and she could hear whispers that sounded far away.
     "Logan something is strange about her" Ezekiel began with a deep and serious frown.
     "Her body,seemed to have been involved in a serious accident that ruptured almost all her intenal organs. She must have been through a serious operation and I'm surprised that she survived. It looks like a bomb blast, could it be from ten years ago? She must have been a victim " Ezekiel exclaimed and a deep frown settled on Logan's face.
     "She has lost a lot of blood already, she as pneumonia and an underlying sickness from the bomb blast. If care is not taken, she would end up like Clara" Ezekiel warned and left.
     Logan turned to look at Evelyn who was sleeping and had an extremely pale face.
     Seeing her in this sorry state he called Sawyer. "Investigate Evelyn's life from ten years ago and report every single detail about it. Especially her life in the countryside" he instructed.
     Sawyer was confused. Why precisely 10 years ago but he could not ask why. He sighed deeply and got to work. Under 3 minutes, her info came up and his face widened in suprise and shock hurriedly sending it to Logan who had a deep frown the moment he saw the results that came up. He even tried but still the same result.
     Evelyn Stone had no record that she existed till now. The first 18 years of her life even her life in the countryside was not recorded in any document or book. It was like she never existed!.
