Chapter 60:- OFFENDED SOMEONE SHE COULDN'T AFFORD TO OFFEND

    "Evelyn this is unacceptable! Release your father from whatever hold he's on " the grandmother demanded angrily but she remained unfazed.
     "Aren't you the matriarch of the Stone Family? You should have doctors call your doctors, let's see who can relieve him" she said staring back with a matching ferocity.
     "I'm done here, if you still want to stay and discuss. Good luck" and she walked to her room, locking the door behind her.
      A message entered her phone. It was Smoke texting her to request commencement of the plan. Considering the mall incident, teaching her a lesson now is satisfying.
     'Go on, make me proud' she texted him back and the latter went offline immediately.
      'That was weird' she thought as she entered her room and decided to watch 'HIDDEN LOVE' on her phone to while away time.
     As she was fully invested in the movie, her phone notification rang. It was a message from one of her apprentice. She decided to call him instead.
     "If you're so desperate for me to get Logan's share, then fine I'll do it now" and she hung up directly.
     She took out her spare and began working immediately. She pinched in string of numbers, breaking through various firewalls.

     "Sir it's a disaster!. Someone is breaking into our firewall. The IT department can't do anything, the shares are disappearing every minute at an alarming rate and the stocks aren't different" Sawyer reported panicked as he held a tablet in his hand.
     Logan's expression changed as he watched as his stocks dropped and then sighed then muttered 'useless' before getting his own laptop and took matters into his hands.

     It was a fierce battle and Evelyn was shocked at their defence. She had underestimated her opponent, it was going to be a long and fierce and long battle.
     She was tired, she hadn't spent this long before a computer like this and her apprentice constant messaging wasn't helping.

     Logan on the other hand was just getting started. But he had other urgent meetings, so to end this soon, he used a tricky method.

     As Evelyn yawned tiredly, she suddenly realised something was wbut realised a little late.
     Her screen blackened to show Logan on video. Thankfully she shut it on time but of course the latter caught sight of her white hair.
     Her heart pounded fast as she cursed him in her heart. He tricked her. Damn him! But at least she has 6% of his shares, and his stocks dropped quite significantly. He'll be busy this few days.

     While people were trying to wrap there head around what just happened, another explosive news dropped and the uproar was deafening.
     'TRAGEDY STRIKES:- LAURA SCOTT HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED EARLY THIS AFTERNOON WHEN SHE WENT TO VISIT HER GANGSTER BOYFRIEND!!!' it had billions of views and millions of comments under it.
     ' "This had better be a joke. First my hubby now Laura Scott?". "It as Secret signature can you doubt it?". "No way this happened!. I suspect her boyfriend". "Beware of gangster boyfriends". "Serves her right, she as always been arrogant" '.
      The reactions of people were mixed. Some were worried, others neutral and the rest happy. It was a disaster and it affected Ava too as this was her best friend.
     A loud bang was heard on her door. It was frantic and quite loud, it was disturbing.
     Evelyn opened the door and it was Ryan holding his affected hand with Ava behind him. She had 30 minutes left for her compensation why is she here?.
     "Yes may I help you?"she asked unbothered by there venomous gazes.
     "The doctor said only the person who did it can fix it. So here is my hand, fix it!"he demanded stretching out his hand and holding an acupuncture needle.
     Evelyn smirked. He's holding a wrong needle but since he doesn't like himself, who's she to hold him back.
     "If you insist"she easily agreed which was quite suspicious but he didn't notice.
     Evelyn blindly inserted the needle and the let out a horrible scream as he felt his hands go numb from pain.
     "What did you do to my father?" Ava shouted as she knelt beside her dad who was about to collapse from pain.
     "If you're done, leave I'm busy" Evelyn said and wanted to shut the door but Ava put her leg there to stop it and the latter gladly slammed the door on her leg repeatedly without giving her a reaction time.
     "Aaaaah!"she screamed and managed to remove her leg. It was red, swollen and bruised, she had also sprained it. It was extremely painful.
     "You're a witch, how dare you treat your elder sister like this. How can I resume school next week with a bandaged foot?"she shouted as tears came down her eyes .
     Ryan on the other hand couldn't avenge his daughter, he took was struggling with the pain he felt.
    Evelyn felt bored. A useless father squirming on the floor, and a green tea bitch sister crying in pain.
      'Pathetic!' she thought and slammed the door on their faces. What concerned her was how she should resume college and study medicine. She'll have to arrange it and maybe ask Logan for help.

     Laura sat at a corner blindfolded. The place stunk, it was also damp and the regular drop of water every 2 seconds made her feel aware of her surroundings.
     She was on her way to meet her boyfriend Henry when she was kidnapped. In broad daylight!.
     She was scared, terrified even. She had been here for a while and she was hungry and weak.
     As she was feeling hopelessly devastated, the door opened and shut loudly. She heard muffled voices, then heavy footsteps approached her where she sat.
     Her blindfold was pulled off and she squinted a little to adjust to the light, after her eyes met with a strange man with ugly scars on his face. Her breath caught in her throat seeing him. He was terrifyingly ugly.
     "Scared? You should be" the person said with a sickening laugh that disgusted her.
     "Who are you. Please spare me, I know nothing. If it's money, my family is wealthy, we'll pay you"she said crying.
     Laura wasn't rough, all she had was her mouth, nothing else. She only knew how to act haughty and proud but in the face of danger she's a complete coward.
     "I've already asked for 5 billion dollars it's on it's way but that's not what I want. You are a feast to the eyes, let me have fun"he held her and she screamed for help but no help came.
     In the dark, cold, room she was sexually abused for a long time. She lost her virginity and was bruised mentally, physically and emotionally.
     "Why are you doing this?"she asked in an hoarse voice. She had shouted for hours, now she was tired.

     She uploaded the video with a caption 'I DIDN'T KNOW TGE YOUNG MISS OF THE SCOTT FAMILY WAS TGIS DIRTY' sighed by Secret.
     The details was that she purposely pretended to be kidnapped to have fun with her boyfriend in a secluded place.
     The video was dark, and no one could see Laura's expression but the regular moaning already explained a lot.
     The internet unloaded in an uproar again. Some believed while some didn't.
     Some believed it was true while some said she was being set up by being powerful,if only they knew the so called powerful person is an 18 year old obsessed with chinese dramas.
     The headline of the whole issue was that she offended someone she couldn't afford to offend.
