"That's our last song for tonight." Shi brushed his sweat-infused hair up with his hand. "We'll see you next time!"

"See you guys!" I said to my mic, waving my hand to the small crowd at the end of the series of tables and chairs, the crowd that wasn't able to get a table or just stood up to jam to the songs we played.

We all smiled at the audience. The people at their tables clapped for us as we walked off the small stage. I turned to Vy and when I saw the satisfied smile on his lips and his glittering eyes as he looked at the audience, my night was made.

"How I miss this!" salubong sa amin nila Dani nang makalapit kami sa bar. Inabot niya ang mukha ni Drix from behind the bar and she squeezed his face. "Bakit ngayon lang kayo bumalik!"

I pulled Vy to sit on the stool beside me, my arm around his waist. "What drinks do you want?"

"Lemonade. I still have rehearsals for a production tomorrow."

Napangiti ako. Ginagalingan niya talaga masyado sa school. I'm so proud of him.

I asked the bartender for a light beer for me and Vy's lemonade. Vy gave me a glare after hearing what drink I ordered but I just shrugged at him.

"I need to let loose, malapit na quiz namin," pagdadahilan ko. "Hindi ko na 'to mauulit."

He scoffed. "'Hindi na mauulit.'"

I chuckled. I ruffled his curls, pulling him close to my side. "Minsan lang, Vy. Pagbigyan mo na ang stress na sa eroplano."

He gave me a look, his lips pursed into a frown. I raised my brows repeatedly at him. In the end, he just nodded which I know was forced. Amused, I ended up kissing his temple. He didn't push me away but he gave me a glare.

"Bakit ngayon niyo lang ako sinabihan?"

Napalingon kami kay Kath who's looking at us with accusing eyes.

"Sino kaya 'tong busy?" I accused her.

"I'm not busy for this."

Drix shook his head at her. "Sus, pero no'ng tinawagan, hindi naman sumagot. Aral pa sa Baguio."

Dani chuckled beside him which made Kath frown deeper.

"Sana tumawag kayo ulit!"

"Okay, okay, Kath. Chill." Dani tried to console her.

"Masyadong na-stress ng medical school," says Isla.

And her statement garnered a perfect number of nods from all of us except Kath.

She rolled her eyes at us. "Mas na-stress pa ako kasi hindi niyo ako sinabihan. Para kayong fake friends! Ni hindi niyo sinabi sa'kin na bumalik na si Vasily sa school!" She pointed a hand at Vy who's silently enjoying his lemonade on the bar stool beside me.
