"Ander and I are dating. And we have been dating for four months" I say with my eyes fixed on my dad.
"What?" He says with a shocked tone in his voice.
Uh oh, I'm about to freak out at this point.
"Anika, you are my little girl, I don't want to let you go, but I also want you to be happy." He says
My eyes get big at him. I'm shocked. I honestly didn't think he would be happy.
"I'm glad you have Ander, Anika" he says
"Um...wow...thanks dad!" I say excitedly. I get up and go hug him.
Everyone else is happy. My brother is playing the big brother card, where "you better not mess around with my little sister" to Ander. Ander, of course, promises and say he would never mess around.
2 DAYS LATER
It's about time for my dad to go. We are at the Jedi Temple at the landing platform. My dad says goodbye to my sister, than brother, than mom, and me last.
"Anika, I'll be back, and not in a casket" he says "I'll be home in one piece"
I let out a small laugh and look up at him.
"You promise?" I ask
"Promise" he says
"Good." I say giving him a hug.
It's time.
He walks over to his star fighter, Obi-Wan is already in his star fighter, red and white. My dad is taking R2 for this mission. He always does.
We watch as they leave. We wave goodbye and than we can't see them anymore.
