Fredia hauled Wilhelm into the command tent, where Gneisenau gasped at the sight of his sovereign.

"My Kaiser! Oh mein gott, what happened?" Gneisenau asked unreservedly, assisting Freida in sitting down on a chair.

"Just a stray grenade. Nothing too serious," Wilhelm said, followed by a cough. "However, if you want someone to blame, blame bloody Camden!" Wilhelm shouted, banging his fist on the desk. Gneisenau looked at Freida in confusion.

"Colonel, what has happened? I was on the left flank so I do not know the affairs of the centre or right." Gneisenau asked.

"Well, sir. Colonel Camden deviated from the agreed plan and diverted to the centre. A Persian column went around the distracted Camden and attacked the Imperial Guard and the Kaiser." Freida explained.

"If it weren't for that my dear Freida here, that ambitious bungler may have indirecty killed me sir!" Wilhelm exclaimed.

"Shall I have her transferred, demoted, dismissed?" Gneisenau asked.

"I have a better idea. Leave her where she is, but I am going to promote you to General. You will be in charge of our southern forces, and I will promote Colonel Clauswitz in the North as General of our northern forces. Do you accept Gneisenau?" Wilhelm asked.

"Of course, it is a great honour and I than your majesty for the promotion. But, what should I do if Camden makes another mistake?" Gneisenau asked.

"Transfer, demote, or dismiss her. Whatever you think is best, General. But I want it done properly through the Gendarmerie in a courtmarshal." Wilhelm inisisted, Gneisenau bowed. "Freida you can let me go now, I have regained my balance."

"Of course." Freida reluctantly let go, Wilhelm wobbled slightly but stood firmly once again. At that moment Serina came in.

"Your majesty, than goodness you are still alive. May I ask who this is?" Serina asked, gesturing to Freida.

"My girlfreind." Wilhelm said bluntly, Freida slightly blushed while the other two officers widened their eyes wide enough so that they could fit a battleship through. Both Serina and Gniesenau looked at eachother, and then back at Freida again, who smiled.

"Sir how long have you known the Colonel here?" Gneisenau asked.

"Oh don't worry, we're childhood friends." Wilhelm stated.

"Perhaps it would be easier if you knew I am actually Alfreda Villiers." Freida suggested. Both officers paused for a second and then nodded in understanding.

"Ah yes! We emt at the ball, that makes this the second time you've protected the Kaiser. Oh, I really am useless," Serina said disappointingly.

"Relax Serina, your skill at your job is merely exemplified when you and your guard are absent. However when you are around there are no situations to rescue me since you make sure those situations do not arise. Have more faith in yourself," Wilhelm said. Freida nodded in agreement and Serina thanked them both. "Serina, could you grab a Generals uniform for Gneisenau here?" Serina obliged and Wilhelm then turned to Freida again, "Now, you must introduce me to some of your new friends before we move our HQ to the city." Freida smiled and nodded and they both went out of the tent. Gniesenau walked out having been given his new uniform but stopped just outside the entrance.
