"Move it Faunus scum!" A Persian high guard shouted, pushing a Faunus Horse Faunus towards the large gate. A ceasefire had been agreed between Darrian and Wilhelm through mediators and so the Persian army rounded up the Faunus population and were now forcing them out of the gate. The German Army guided them to their camp, Wilhelm stood on a hill as the collum of Faunus headed towards the German camp.
"Happy birthday, mein Kaiser." Jade greeted as she walked up the hill where the Kaiser was standing. Wilhelm responded with a quick 'thank you' and continued watching the Heer guide the Faunus to the tents that they had adapted into a quick refugee camp. "Something wrong?" Jade probed.
"To think that their Emperor has classified them as undesirables, it's unbearable." Wilhelm explained. "Not something I want to contemplate on my birthday."
"But Wilhelm, it is thanks to your planning that you have saved these people from an indescribable fate." Jade said positively. "You know Darrian is a notable racist, he hates these people. It would not have been long until Darrian would have started harming these people. At least now they are safe, and once the city is taken they can return."
"I suppose you're right Jade," at that poin Reinhilde walked up to the pair, "ah Reinhilde! How are things?"
"The Luftwaffe is on their way, the payload has been altered as you requested." Reinhilde stated, agent Falke had consulted Wilhelm before infiltrating the city. The Kaiser thought that his ideas were of sound mind, and changed plans accordingly. "Also, the most senior of the Faunus group want to meet you."
"Very well, walk with me Jade, carry on Reinhilde." Wilhelm commanded and Reinhilde bowed accordingly. Wilhelm navigated down the hill, followed by Serina and the Imperial guard who caught up. He found Freida talking to the cheif of the Faunus community who shook the Kaiser warmly by the hand.
"My Kaiser, I speak for everyone when, we are all glad to be put into your care." The chief thanked.
"The pleasure is mine, Faunus are an integral part of German society. I welcome all people's into my empire, no matter their race." Wilhelm assured with a big smile, Jade replicated Wilhelm's facial expression as she saw her sovereign in a happier mood. "I have a big feast planned for the evening, you are all welcome to share in it."
"We are most greatful your Imperial Majesty, may I ask what the occasion is?" The chief asked.
"It is the Kaiser's birthday today." Freida explained.
"Ah, happy birthday to you, your Imperial Majesty." The chief then bowed his head and went off to attend to his family. WIlhelm smiled as he saw a group of children play together with Jade: a rabbit faunus herself, maybe all wasn't so bad after all. The war was nearly over, Wilhelm only hoped that Darrian would do nothing rash until that happened.
When night fell, Darrian could not sleep. He turned in his bed, the distant lights eminating from the window prevented him from falling asleep. They came from the German camp, Darrian's enemies were celebrating the Kaiser's birthday. Darrian could smell the delicious food being served on long tables throughout the camp. The Kaiser was at the head of the biggest table, with a large variety of meat on his plate. Freida was seated next to him, and the Cheif to the other side. Darrian's desparation grew, all he had for dinner was a couple of slices of bread and some water: ever since the German's had been seiging the capital Darrian's life had became hell on earth. There were rumours that soldiers in the army were deserting or disobeying orders, and more rumours that the Grey and Green generals had surrendered. Darrian smashed his fists on the wall in fury as German bombers flew overhead, they dropped leaflets, wishing the Persian soldiers well and telling them to escape while they still could.
