"Give us peace! Peace and bread!" The people chanted. The high guards tremble in fear. It was an open protest, on the main street in the city of Osmesos. The captain of the high guards were furious, not with their paymaster, but with the people and the army who were absent.
"Hadrian!" The captain shouted to Hadrian, a member of the high guards. "Go to what remains of that bloody barracks and get some men over here!" Hadrian nodded and rushed back towards the barracks while his comrades used their shields to block the rioters from advancing. While not everyone in the city, any resistance was a worry. Hadrian rushed into the ruins of the barracks, he stopped to find General Borin speaking with what remained of her troops.
"It's about time! Captain Acklay needs reinforcements!" Hadrian shouted, his golden armour glistening in the sun.
"And why should we help you?" Na asked, smugly as she turned around. Hadrian scoffed.
"How dare you ask that! We all live and die in service of the Emperor!" Hadrian argued, outraged that with what the army chief was saying.
"Oh, you mean the Emperor that plunged Persia into chaos, debt, depression, destruction, military defeat, and who basically invited the Germans inside!" Na shouted, behind her the soldiers hummed in agreement.
"You are all traitors!" Hadrian shouted in fury. "Just wait until I tell the Emperor!"
"You and what army?" Na said smugly, after all the army was right behind her. And said army who outnumbered the high guard ten to one, started laughing. Na smiled as their laughs filled the air. Hadrian however, was not amused and foolishly drew his sword. The laughing stopped as Na and everyone else drew their weapons. Na, who was having none of it, decapitated Hadrian's head expertly as his head bounced of the ground and into a well, and his headless corpse collapsed to the ground. "Come on men, let us depose the fool! Let us make revolution! This is the Emperor's last day!"
"Huzza!" The Persian soldiers cried. Half an hour later, the army arrived. At first the high guards sighed in releif. However when the Persian soldiers started chanting 'long live the revolution' with Na at the head of the troops, her sword drawn. The High Guards faltered and ran back to the palace. Na was very good public speaker and convinced more people to join the revolt on their way. While about 95% of the garrisson joined Na and the revolution, the rest secured the palace and put up resistance in the ruins of the city. Na was having difficulty securing the city, as the high guard and Darrian's mages were holding off the revolutionary advance. Heavy weapons were needed, and Na fortunatly realised that there was a whole army outside willing to help.
"Agent Falke, contact the Germans and tell them that we will open the gates for them in exchange for the help capturing the palace." Na asked, Falke nodded and slipped away. At that point the advisor approached, asking about the situation. "Our men have secured the gate, the two districts adjacent to the gate: the commercial and industrial districts are under our control. We still face resistance in the palace and in the residential and agricultural districts, but the palace is surrounded. No one gets in or out without going through us." Na said proudly, the advisor was pleased. It appears everything was going accordingly to plan. In the German camp Falke found Tran and his wife Varagwen, whom had recently arrived from the advance in the east, having tea in their tent.
"Yes my dear, the Kreigsmarine and the Mer Kingdom have secured the Hedurian peninsular. The Green and Grey generals are in custody and the rest of our forces as well as the Spartans and the Shutztruppe are heading to reinforce the seige, not that we need the reinforcements." Vargwen told her husband, then they noticed Falke.
"Agent what brings you here?" Tran asked.
"Sir, a revolution has occured." Falked stated. "They are willing to open the gates for the Wehrmacht soldiers. They need our help to subdue the palace as well as the remaining resistance. This would help reduce further bloodshed, as you have requested of me my Lord." Varagwen gasped at the boldness her husband took of going behind the Kaiser's back like that: the Kaiser, as supreme warlord, stated that nothing would proceed without his personal authorisation.
