I walk into the house with my arms full of grocery bags. I walk straight to the kitchen, setting them down. I walk around the island and look in the living room. Allie and Liz are sitting on the couch and watching tv. I turn around, bumping into Stiles and he drops the cup in his hand.
"Really?"
"You're the one who stuck up on me."
"You're a witch, how did you not hear?"
"I'm not the big shot FBI agent."
He smiles and pecks my lips. I hold my hand out, levitating the broken pieces back together. I put the cup in the sink. I lean against the counter, closing my eyes.
"Liv!"
A voice has been plaguing my minds for weeks. I've been trying to ignore it.
"Hey, you okay?"
"It's nothing."
"We've been together since we were sixteen.. I know when somethings wrong with you."
"It's Allison."
I turn around as Allie stands in the kitchen. We were blessed with twin girls. Stiles was terrified when I first got pregnant. But we've gotten through it. He loves them more than life itself.
When I found out we were having twin girls I knew just the names for them. They're so different. Allie is so wise beyond her years and the only one with magic. While she takes after me, Liz takes after Stiles. She's so smart and it's incredible to see first hand.
But with magic comes consequences. Allie is powerful. I've been training her how to use her magic since she could walk and now that she is twelve years old it's become clear how powerful she will be.
"She's calling for help."
"What are you talking about, pumpkin."
Stiles walks closer to Allie. He kneels down, pushing back her curly brown hair.
"I see her calling mom for help." She says. "She needs your help, mom."
Stiles looks over at me. I've been keeping the dreams and voices from him since they started. I didn't want to worry him. I ignored the pleas because I couldn't fathom what they meant.
My phone starts ringing from the living room. I walk away, not saying a word. I take my phone off its charger and am surprised to see Lydia's picture.
We keep in touch mainly with texts. She's the godmother of both Allie and Liz. But as most adults do, we grow apart. When I moved to New York to become an Avenger it put a dent into a lot of my relationships. I think ours took the biggest hit.
"Lyd?"
"Where are you?"
"I'm at home?"
"You need to come back."
I haven't stepped foot in Beacon Hills in years. Derek, Elena and Eli usually come here to visit, same with my parents. Ashley and Liam, well, I don't see very much of them.
They both held a big grudge against me when I left. It's been harder to get in touch with them. The only time I talk to them is when they want to wish the girls a happy birthday.
"You hear her too.. don't you?"
I hear a shaky breath on the other side of the phone.
"I'll see you soon. Tell Allie and Liz I miss them."
