CHAPTER 32

~ Tzuyu's POV ~

"Luna, do you know that a woman was killed near the river last night?" My body was startled.

I turned to Nayeon. She is the person that Jungkook assigned to be with me. She's just like my beta. I didn't know a woman was killed. I... I think that's why Jungkook left hurriedly last night but he came so soon and didn't say anything to me. I didn't even ask him what happened or why he had to leave because I was always keeping my limit and trying to stay without meddling with his things.

"How?" I couldn't help but question Nayeon. She sighed and parted her lips to speak.

"I don't know much information, Luna. All I know is that it was a horrible death. It was Alpha, Jin Namjoon, and Jimin who were there, I guess. Jin doesn't say anything at all... rude!" Nayeon pouted her lips annoyingly. Jin? Does she have anything with Jin? I've seen them exchanging glances a few times. I didn't ask anything from Nayeon because right now, I can't focus on something like that when I just got to know something terrible. A woman was killed... and a horrible death? What kind of thing did that woman go through?

"Luna I thought you knew and Alpha told you, that's why I asked... seems like all the men are the same" I couldn't help but laugh at her comment. Just because Jin didn't say anything to her, she's blaming all the men but I have to agree with her... Jungkook didn't say anything to me last night.

"How are we going to find out? Luna, why don't you ask Alpha when he comes for lunch?" Hmmm... ask Jungkook, please." I don't know if he would say it to me or not. Maybe, he won't give me all the details but I don't know if I should ask him or not.

"I'll try... I don't know if he would tell me. If he told me, I will tell you" I said to Nayeon as she nodded at me. Jungkook must be dealing with that murder case and that's why he's not here yet. He usually comes home around one o'clock so he can have his lunch but today he's not here yet.

While I was speaking with Nayeon, I heard Ayaan crying outside. He was playing with Miky and I let him play and came into the house. I hurried my steps out of the house and saw Ayaan was on the ground and Miky was in front of Ayaan as if he was protecting my son. Not only that, Miky was hissing at something. I followed my gaze as I lost my balance seeing the same tiger. How... how? I parted my lips wanting to speak but I found it hard to speak. How could... this tiger come like this? And it's just daytime... I didn't think twice as I ran towards Ayaan and picked him up. As soon as I picked him up, I saw the tiger's eyes moving toward me. The saliva dripped through its sharp teeth and it growled looking at me.

I wanted to turn and run but before I did it, I bent down again picking the Miky up. l just realized one thing and it was that both Ayaan and Miky can see the tiger. I took a few steps back.

"Nay... Nayeon..." I called Nayeon's name. At the same time, Nayeon came to me, she looked relaxed and unbothered. But her face changed after seeing my expression.

"What's wrong, Luna? You look pale and sweating?" She was confused. Then she looked around us explaining to me that she couldn't see the tiger. That's good... that's good.

"Take... Take them into Ayaan's room and stay with them. Don't forget to lock the door please" I gave Ayaan to Nayeon. She looked dumbfounded and confused but she took both Ayaan and Miky from me but she didn't leave immediately as she remained there.

"Luna, what happened? You look terrified... tell me... what's wrong?" I shook my head.

"Please go! Listen to me!" I hissed at her. She just simply nodded and ran into the house. I let out a breath of relief as she left.
What am I going to do now? If I run, will this tiger follow me again? That day, Jeongyeon was there to protect me but now no one is here.

Suddenly as I never expected, the tiger pounded into me, sinking its sharp teeth into my shoulder. I was about to run away but it was fast. I struggled and was about to shift into my wolf but I couldn't do it. The huge sharp, blade-like teeth sunk into my shoulder making me scream. So painful... just so painful. It didn't show any sign of attacking me... it didn't even prepare to attack but suddenly jumped on to me... what is this? Why didn't Nayeon see this tiger?

The pain conquered my whole soul as I closed my eyes. I couldn't even defend myself because the tiger had already pushed me down and was on me. The huge weight on me couldn't be lifted by me. But what was more terrible was that I felt a dangerous and piercing headache along with this pain. What's happening with me? I could barely stay awake or keep my sanity tight. I felt as if I was going somewhere... somewhere cold... The pain is so brutal... I opened my eyes slightly to meet with a pair of golden eyes. Those... eyes were filled with hatred which was aimed at me. But why? I haven't done anything to anyone. I never hurt anyone not even animals. However, I felt something dripping down through my mouth. It wasn't something.. It was blood. As my mouth filled with the taste of blood, I understood what was happening to me already.

"Tzuyu... Tzuyu, wake up..."

I felt someone was talking to me. I was suppressed by the pain and I had no strength in me even just to open my eyes. Then, I felt I was getting lifted but it wasn't Jungkook's scent I felt. It.. was different and yes. I know this scent. This is Grandpa's scent. After a moment, I felt him placing me on a bed. Then he checked my pulse and wiped around my mouth with his hand and I felt everything but I couldn't open my eyes to look at him.

"Ask Jungkook to come and call a doctor... hurry up!" He ordered someone. I struggled to open my eyes but I failed to do so and what surprised me was that I hadn't fainted yet. I am in pain and I was feeling terrible but I still have my sanity without losing it.

"Tzuyu, can you hear me? What happened? I know you aren't fainted." He was stroking my hair and face as he spoke to me. I felt my eyes getting moist. Yes, I'm not fainted but my body has gone numb due to the pain and I found I couldn't even move my body like I wanted. I couldn't even open my eyes. I wanted to answer him... I wanted to look at Grandpa so badly but why can't I just do it? I cried... I cried helplessly.

"You are crying... wait for Jungkook. He can do something for this" He said as his hand left my face. Is... is he leaving? No.. I don't want him to leave... I'm scared... I want someone to be with me here right now so that the tiger won't come again. Soon after, I felt something wet on my face. I knew Grandpa must be wiping the blood off my face. I tried to move my fingers wanting to touch his hand but once again all my efforts went wasted.

I'm glad he came even if Jungkook wasn't at home. I'm glad that he carried me here. I wanted to thank him but how can I do it? All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain near my shoulder. I wanted to scream from pain but I couldn't. Why is this so painful and what's happening with it? What was that? Why did that tiger appear in front of me and attack me? I did nothing... as far as I know I haven't hurt any tigers or any animal. But why? What was the reason for this... I'm scared... I just want to get free from this fear... please... and please wake me up. My mind begged while crying.

"Grandpa.... wh-what? What happened to her?" Next, I heard Jungkook's impatient voice.

"I also don't know.... She's paralyzed at this moment, you biting on her mark will make her heal. Hurry up... she's bleeding heavily." Grandpa uttered.

Aburtplty, I felt Jungkook's sharp teeth sinking into my mark and that pressure gave me a few heaving heartbeats and made me open my eyes. I breathed heavily. I breathed heavily wanting to get all the air into my lungs and make my lungs feel okay.

"Baby... you... You okay?" Jungkook appeared in my view. I nodded at him but I still couldn't talk to him. He looked terrified. His eyes are slightly red and fear is visible in his gorgeous eyes. He's worried about me, isn't he?

"The... tiger" I parted my lips and muttered. He clenched his jaws and nodded at me.

"The doctor is here." Jungkook stared into my eyes and kissed my forehead.

"I'll take care of it..." he said before moving away from me, giving the space to the doctor to check on me.

"Did she get attacked by a wild animal? Or one of these wolves did?" The doctor turned to Jungkook. Jungkook looked at me but shook his head.

"Doctor, just treat her.." He said. I didn't want anyone to know what was happening with me and I know Jungkook also thinks the same way. I'm glad that he could understand my thoughts.
