A/N: sorry it took me a minute to get this chapter out. I completed one of my other books and needed a slight mental health break. Hell it's not even really about the other book. My mental health just took a nose dive. Ironic. Sorry. I'm guess I'm back for better or worse.

With Wednesday:One week since Wednesday was forced to leave Enid.
Wednesday is no where near the realm of ok. She's just not. She's nothing like what her family had come to expect from her. In her current state, to be fair, she was nothing like what she'd come to expect from herself either. Her walls, her hard won stoicism, her iron clad will and resolve, they had all but dissolved. She had broken her word for the first time in her life. And she was...he...she just wanted that whole night wiped from existence. Her mental health had dipped considerably. Wednesday felt trapped in a never ending loop. She could not escape her headspace no matter what she did. Wednesday was stuck in between nightmares and day dreams. The nightmares had taken over her nights, and thoughts of Enid had taken over her days. She was isolating even more than usual. She would spend countless hours in the family cemetery alone longing to see her name amongst the granite markers. Her father, brother, and uncle had all approached her at one time or another only to be shut down. Morticia had her suspicions. Call it a mother's intuition, but is keeping her a distance for now hoping her daughter will come out of this episode or find a solution on her own. That isn't to say she isn't concerned. They all are.
Two weeks after the attack.
Things only worsened. It was like Wednesday was losing her mind, and not in the good way. The first week back knowing she hadn't fulfilled her promise to Enid had been sheer agony. She did not enjoy it as she thought she might. Time not sleeping was spent harshly assessing herself.
After a great deal of thought, and self diagnosis Wednesday believed she was afflicted by at least one of the Addams family curses. The same curses that never made any sense to her. Yet she saw proof of them throughout her family again and again. Her affliction? The first, to give one's word and not follow through is a sin punishable by death to an Addams. Except Wednesday was obviously too stubborn to die on her own and no one in their right mind would approach her with a threat they obviously couldn't follow through with. The pain was her penance. Or...It could always be the other curse. The one she spent the majority of her time at Nevermore denying even existed. The one she felt take over the second she locked eyes with Enid Sinclair. The one that afflicts all young Addams eventually. The one she was absolutely convinced would never befall her. Until it did. The one where once an Addams falls in love, they do so with their entire being for life. Even if the object of their affection rejects them. Even if there is considerable distance. Even if they were to die. It would physically hurt an Addams to be away from their love. Since Wednesday felt awful, it had to be at least one of those curses. They fit. She broke her word, and she had fallen for Enid. Enid, the answer to both her current quandaries. Enid who was probably roughly 3000 miles away in San Francisco right now. What else could it be?
The physical symptoms? Her body hurt. Her skin was sensitive to the touch. Her head pounded all the time. Wednesday felt physically weak. She was always dizzy. She was starving but she couldn't eat. She was constantly on the verge of throwing up. Certain smells, certain sounds, light that was too bright, not enough light, moving too quickly, staying in one position too long, everything seemed to trigger it. She couldn't focus. She couldn't write. She couldn't even play her cello. Only soft music played on her Victrola managed to soothe her. Wednesday hadn't left her room at all now in about a week. She barely bathed or changed her clothes. Her food was brought to her and cleared away mostly untouched.
