Sorry this is a couple days later my than I had intended it to be. The girls had more to say to each other than I had originally planned. A lot more. Sorry about any mistakes. I did slightly rush the ending just a bit.
-ShadowWednesday stopped her car in front of the gate that led to the manor and let it idle. Normally Gate would have started opening on its own as soon as she crested the road that led her home. She should have been able to pull right in. Except she couldn't. Gate hadn't budged. Wednesday was beyond angry and even Gate could feel it. Pugsley had directly endangered Enid. He knew Wednesday wasn't in harms way, yet he allowed Enid to believe she was. He orchestrated her standing on the tracks in front of the oncoming train whether he meant to or not. His reasoning as to why no longer mattered. Addams code be damned. Pugsley was a dead man. A dead dead man.
Wednesday stuck her head out the window of the Belair. "Gate!" She growled. The gate shuddered, but it did not open. She was fuming. Enid reached her hand out putting it on Wednesday's thigh. Wednesday looked at the hand. It's warmth, the weight of it felt right. She let out a long sigh. She calmed slightly. She was now able to think a little. The solid presence of Enid beside her bringing her back from the brink of destruction. Maybe she wouldn't kill her brother, just let him off with a bit of moderate torture. Nothing too life threatening.
The gate slowly slid open. Wednesday pulled her car up directly in front of the door to the manor and jumped out while Enid fumbled with the blanket and the seatbelt wrapped around her. "Wednesday, wait. I'm fine. We're both fine fine. Please don't." Enid tried, but her plea fell to no one. Wednesday was already in the house.
The door opened without Wednesday even having to touch the knob. House knew not to stand in her way. The atmosphere was just as festive as when she had ran out. The house was still full of family and friends talking and laughing. "Pugsley!" She yelled at the top of her lungs as she entered the manor. Everyone stopped what they were doing. Heads poked out from various rooms concern and curiosity shown clear across their faces at yet another rare outburst of emotion from the eldest Addams child.
Pugsley appeared from the sitting room moving towards the kitchen with ease laughing and joking with Eugene like he hadn't heard Wednesday bellow his name. Then he saw her. She was standing in the foyer still dripping a bit of water. Her eyes held a heat he had never seen from his sister before. A look of shock and worry crossed his face as he fully took her in. Wednesday was shaking with anger and she was alone. That had not been part of his plan. He froze. "Why are you wet?" Eugene asked with a sloft chuckle trying to defuse the situation. It did not. Wednesdays eyes never shifted from her brother but she held her pointer finger up towards Eugene indicating she had something else to deal with before she answered his question.
Wednesday stalked closer to her brother moving with the graceful force of an impending storm. The air around her was thick and electrically charged. Pugsley gulped but couldn't move. He thought he was done for sure. Wednesday grabbed him roughly by the collar of his shirt yanking him down to her eye level. Her eyes were narrowed and her voice was a low grumble. "Pugsley. Explain to me why you would bring my girlfriend to the bridge. Why you would put her life in danger. Why you would leave her there allowing her think I was about to die. Enid was almost killed tonight!! If anything had happened to her, I would have burned the world." Wednesday shouted the last part. Her fist already clenched at her side. Pugsley's jaw dropped. "Wednesday I...I...that...that wasn't part of the plan." Pugsley stuttered. "The plan?! What plan?!" Wednesday didn't give him a chance to say anything else as her fist collided hard with his nose then his jaw. Pugsley stumbled backwards out of Wednesday's grasp and fell less than gracefully onto his backside next to Eugene. He sat there mouth agape as blood gushed from his nose.
