⚠️Violence. Bullying. Maybe some blood. Language. Possible tears (I myself teared up). I think that's it. Sorry.⚠️

Yes. Another time skip. Because, everyday life is boring even in fanfic.

A few weeks have passed. It's the Monday before Thanksgiving break. The break starts the next day, and they'll have the rest of the week off. They had the students come in for mandatory state testing. So tests, lunch, and lots of recesses and free time. Wednesday is currently on break from school as is Eugene so he is at the manor. His moms will come for the holiday. They're planning a big dinner to celebrate family. Wednesday published the novel she had been working on. Viper left Clair for her career. No surprise there.

Enid sat at the cafe that Friday and every Friday since waiting for Wednesday until it closed hoping she would come but she never does. Enid has not been back to the Addams property. She and Wednesday haven't seen nor spoken at all. Ever hasn't really talked to Wednesday about Ms. Sinclair either so either Enid is keeping her distance like she was told, or she just knows better. Yoko still isn't really talking to Enid. She spends a lot of time at Celeste's house. Enid was correct she and Braydon were done. To literally no one's surprise, he's already seeing someone new. To top it all off, her mother told her not to bother coming home for Thanksgiving because her brothers were bringing their mates and pups home so there wouldn't be enough room for her sad single little self.

As for the scene? Its November in New Jersey. It's cold. It's gloomy. There's patchy snow and ice covering the ground. The students are out at what will probably be the final day of outdoor recess for the year. The kinder/prek playground is inaccessible presently due to exceedingly muddy conditions from snow melt so they're out with the older kids on the big playground. There are twice as many monitors on duty than usual because it felt necessary. Enid is currently at the nurses office with another student that had slipped hard on a patch of ice. She asked one of the other monitors to keep an eye on her class. They're failing miserably as the kindergartners have been left largely to their own devices.

Ever and a few of her friends were enjoying their time outside. They were minding their own business playing on the playground equipment and tossing a football around. The two monitors assigned to that small part of the play area aren't really paying attention. They were too busy flirting and talking. There are other children playing in the area as well. All should have been fine.

Three snickering fifth graders approach the trio of kindergartners. "Hey little babies. Aren't you in the wrong place?" One teased. "Yeah like don't you have your own playground? This is ours. Why'd they let you out here?" The second continued. The group of smaller kids ignored the older ones and kept playing. The older kids glanced at the monitors, but quickly decided since they didn't get a reaction from the littles, the potential trouble wasn't worth the effort and two of the three went to find something else to do leaving their friend behind. The third kid wasn't having it. He had no intention of leaving. He didn't like that he was ignored by a bunch of little kids. Smaller, weaker, little, kids. So he did what most bullies did. He puffed up his chest, balled his fists up and glared. He was going to make the little kids pay.

He snatched the football Ever and her friends were playing with. "I'll take that." He said with a smirk. The bully tossed the ball up in the air a few times catching it as it came down. Ever lunged for the ball trying to take it back. The bully shoved Ever to the ground. The bully laughed at the other little kids almost daring them to do something. Ever glanced at her friends. They seemed anxious. "Go find Ms. Sinclair." She stated calmly picking herself up off the ground. Her friends did as they were asked. Once her friends were safe she stepped forward towards the bigger boy. "That belongs to Nicco. Give it back please." She asks nicely at first. The bully laughed at the little girl. "No. Make me." The bully chuckled. "I said, give. It. Back. Now." She repeated herself through clenched teeth. "Or what? What are you gonna do? You're too small to do anything. I'm way bigger than you." The bully snarked. "My mama taught me how to defend myself. She said I can if I feel threatened, someone tries to hurt me, or someone tries to take what is mine." Ever stated proudly. "My grandfather says it's ok if I'm small. The bigger a bully is, the harder they will fall. He also said, never throw the fist punch." Ever continued. The bully laughed again. "I don't believe you. Nobody's grandpa would say that." The bully snarked.
