⚠️Slight Violence. Cursing and Harsh Words.⚠️ Sorry this is a little later than I wanted. I had intended it to be out Thursday at the latest, but stupid life happened. Long.

With Wednesday

Wednesday crashed through the hospital doors that led to the emergency department. She looked around desperate to find someone, anyone that might have information about Ever. She saw a desk to her left labeled 'information/check ins' she slammed her palms against the desk making the desk clerk jump. "Ever Addams! Where is she?!" Wednesday demanded. The person behind the desk was visibly shaken. They cocked their head to the side. "I'm sorry who?" They asked confused. "Don't be sorry. Be forthcoming. Check your damn computer. My daughter Ever Addams was brought in by ambulance from the elementary school less than twenty minutes ago. Now where is she?" Wednesday demanded. Her voice cracked.

Security approached the desk. "Is there a problem here?" They asked. The desk nurse shook their head. "Oh there will be if you refuse to do your job. Now use that god damned monstrosity to find my baby! Now!" Wednesday snapped. "Stand by." The desk nurse said to the security officer. Who nodded. Their hand on their duty belt. They began to click a few keys. "She's in the ICU triage. They're running tests." The desk clerk replied calmly. "How do I get there?" Wednesday demanded. "You can't. You can't just barge into the ICU." The desk clerk scoffed. "Clearly you underestimate me. Watch and learn." Wednesday hissed with fierce determination.

Another nurse quickly stepped through yet another set of doors. They must have overheard the commotion. "Wait. Wait." They directed at the security officer who finally saw Wednesday as a threat. "You're the little girl's mother? She's around five or six with blunt force trauma from a fall? She came over from Essex Fells Elementary?" Wednesday nodded. "What was that name again?" The nurse asked. "Addams. Ever Addams. I'm Wednesday Addams. Please. Please tell me she's ok. Please." The nurse pursed their lips.

Wednesday's legs gave out. "No." She cried as she collapsed to her knees. Eugene came up behind her. He wrapped his arms around Wednesday's shoulders. "It's ok Wens. It'll be ok. She'll be ok." He said reassuringly. "Are you the father?" The nurse asked. Eugene shook his head no. "Uncle." He stated calmly. The nurse nodded. "Are you expecting more family and friends?" They questioned. Eugene nodded. "Yeah. At least half a dozen. Maybe more. I'm not sure. Why do you ask?" He grimaced. "There's a private waiting room for families with patients in surgery and intensive care. It's smaller, but it's empty right now. I was hoping it would accommodate you and I could relocate you there." Eugene nodded. "That would be great. Thank you." He said helping Wednesday up and guiding her through the open door.

Instructions were left at the desk to send Ever's family back to the private area. The rest of the Addams family slowly began to trickle in. Gomez and Morticia. Lurch and Thing. Pugsley, Fester, and Grandmama. Sue and Janet Ottinger, Eugene's moms. Morgan, Scarlet, and Ivy Grimm were also present. They took over the waiting room. It was a somber sight as the majority of those gathered were already dressed in black. Needless to say, Wednesday was a mess. She was quiet now. The external panic she had felt before now turned cold and moved fully internal. She sat in the chair with her knees pulled to her chest and her face buried in her hands. Eugene was on one side of her, Morticia on the other. She just sat there. Unblinking. Unfazed. Unemotional. Completely shut down. Completely numb. But absolutely ready to snap.

Dr. Felicia Grimm had been called in almost immediately. She took over Ever's care from the staff doctors at the ER. Not that they were incapable of doing their jobs, she just knew Ever better. She knew her medical history and was part of her care before she was even born. She also knew the family. The Addams family had a reputation that most people didn't want to get involved with for any reason. They also were capable of feats that would most certainly garner attention quite possibly from the wrong people. Their reputation as outcasts was definitely earned. In other words, they had ridiculous healing abilities most Addams wanted to keep hidden from the world.
