Sitting on the Hogwarts Express, Eleanor is talking to Pansy about their Summers since they saw each other in Italy.

"That seems so scary," Pansy yelps, "I can't imagine, the Dark Mark being conjured at the World Cup! I'm glad everyone is okay." She reaches across and holds onto her friend's hand and squeezes it. Eleanor smiles then looks out the window at the moving terrain, petting Persephone.

"What are you thinking about?" Blaise asks beside her.

"Wondering what big surprise is going to be at Hogwarts this year, Dray won't tell me anything." Ellie looks back at her group of friends.

"Just know it's going to be different." Draco responds, as Pansy places her head on his shoulder to go to sleep.

"Wake me up when we're almost there," she says.

"I dunno why I'm even going back to Hogwarts," Draco drawls on. "I'd rather transfer to Durmstrang."

"You'd want to leave your friends?" Theo asks, "What's going on?"

"My father says Hogwarts has been going down the drain ever since Dumbledore has been Headmaster."

"I think it's been a good time so far." Ellie says, "Don't listen to your father, Draco. He doesn't know what he's talking about."

The rest of the ride consists of eating sweets from the trolley, playing card games, and talking about the new year at Hogwarts.

When they arrive at the castle, Pansy is awake and everyone is wearing their robes. They take the self-flying carriage and eventually get to the Great Hall. After the sorting ceremony, Dumbledore goes to the front to make an announcement.

"Now that we're all settled and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement." He begins, "The castle will not only be your home this year, but home to some very special guests as well-"

He is interrupted by Filch running to whisper to Dumbledore about something, then he runs back outside. Ellie and Blaise try not to laugh at the Hogwarts' caretaker's version of running.

"Hogwarts has been chosen to host the Triwizard Tournament." Ellie gasps and looks at Draco, he gives her a knowing look and they return their attention to Dumbledore. "Now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic and their headmistress Madam Maxime."

The Great Hall cheers as beautiful, tall girls start dancing into the Great Hall. Draco, Theo, and Blaise all look like they are going to faint. Pansy hits Draco's shoulder as Ellie laughs at them. The last girl seems to have a different vibe to her, making all the boys in the room entranced with her.

"She's a Veela!" Ellie announces.

"No way!" Pansy gasps, staring at the girl.

Then, the Headmistress walks in, "Blimey, that's a tall woman." Theo whispers to Eleanor. She giggles, "be nice, Theodore!"

"And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff." Dumbledore announces.

The boys from Durmstrang walk in with big sticks, banging them rhythmically. At the end, everyone notices one person; Victor Krum. The Victor Krum; the best Quidditch Seeker of all time Victor Krum. "Godric, someone pinch me," Blaise says, staring at the boy.

"Now, to welcome our guests, everyone please stand up and sing along to our school song." Dumbledore says, putting up the lyrics to the song.

The Houses sing along to the song at different paces, Blaise, Theo, and Ellie are laughing too much to be comprehensible. Draco is sneering and not singing. Pansy is singing quietly, and Crabbe and Goyle were singing but stopped after Draco gave them a look.
