You jumped out of bed rushing to get dressed. You had forgotten that your mother wanted to meet.

And as if fate was on your side, you're already an hour late.

I threw on some sweats and an oversized tee. I grabbed my sneakers and sped out of the apartment.

I raced through the streets until I spotted the familiar flower shop and alongside it was a fancy restaurant.

I quickly walked inside but was halted by the waiter at the entrance. "I'm sorry miss but do you have a reservation?"

"I'm here to see my mother. L/n." His eyes widened slightly at his improper manner before showing me where she sat.

"You are an hour late." She said displeasingly. "Yeah I know- I just woke up can you not?"

I had a fucking headache and I did not need this.

"Well, I wanted to discuss something with you. You are of age and it's time for you to settle down soon..."

You stared at the water in the glass as memories from last night resurfaced. The way his fingers were entangled in my hair as I choked on his d-

"Are you even listening Y/n?" She snapped, lightly banging the table. "Mom, I am 26." She scoffed.

"Exactly! Where are my grandchildren??" Just the thought of a mini-you running around scared you. The responsibility was far too much. "Mom no." I rubbed a hand over my face.

"Now is the time y/n. You can't work your entire life-" She started. You knew this conversation would drift into what you did for work.

"Mom it's my duty to protect the village. That isn't something you just abandon out of nowhere. I have a high ranking, can't you be proud of me for that?" I shouted back.

"You sound just like your father y/n!" She sharply said. "At least he was happy with what he did."

Silence fell over the two of us. He wanted to change the shinobi world for the greater good. Sadly he was assassinated.

When he died my mother had to find a way to make money to provide for us. So she started her jewelry business, making tons of money everywhere we traveled.

By the time we made it to the Leaf village, I decided that I wanted to stay here and train. Of course, my mother disapproved but I decided to stay here and become a shinobi.

"Just promise me you will take better care of yourself...I can't lose you too." She stood up to leave leaving me stunned. That was the most sincere thing I've ever heard her say.

I sighed and later took my leave. The guy from the bar his presence was marked in my brain. Who was that and did I really suck off a fucking stranger.

I groaned and ran my hands over my face. I'm never drinking ever again.

As I walked through the village I couldn't help but think of what my mother said about a family.

I hadn't thought about what it would be like to raise a family. Get married, have children, or even retire.

When I did, I was too distracted by what was in front of me. A cheating boyfriend.

I arrived at the convenience store exhaustedly grabbing some snacks to restock my pantry. I checked out and began walking back home.

Once I made it, I decided to straighten up a bit. After I showed, I threw on some shorts and a cropped top.

My apartment wasn't as bad but when Kakashi and I parted ways I threw out everything that reminded me of him.

New bed and furniture. Just a way for me to start over.

The sound of a rough knock resonated throughout my apartment. I glanced at the time and read 11 pm.

'It's not Kurenei because she had gotten called in on a mission last minute and it's not my mother.' I thought making my way to the door.

I opened it in slight shock. It was the guy from the club. He stepped inside looking around.

"Is anyone here?" He towered over me causing me to gulp. I briefly shook my head 'no' and in a moment the front door was locked and I was being pinned against it.

"W-why are you....here?" I was stunned to say. His finger glided across my bottom lip and he let out a dark sexy chuckle. "I had to repay the favor." He said lowly making my eyes widen.

"Bedroom?" My mouth watered instantly. I quickly pointed causing him to let out a laugh and lift me onto his waist.

Seconds later my back touched my soft bed's surface.
