I gritted my teeth, determined not to show any weakness. But the poison was relentless, constricting my muscles and sending joints of agony through my body.

"Just think," Sasori continued, his voice a mere whisper now. My mouth opened to talk but only a pained wince escaped. "if you tell me what we need to know, I can make the pain stop. I can give you an antidote." He tilted his head studying my reaction with a predatory gaze.

"Do you think I would betray my village for a moment's relief?" You managed a scoff despite the pain that surged through your entire body. He shrugged unfazed.

"We will see how long that conviction lasts. The human spirit has its limits after all."

As the pain intensified, I felt my body giving out. Yes, the anbu prepares you for situations such as this one but the poison is making me see things that I know can't be real.

——

You lay in a dimly lit room, your heart pounding in your chest as you heard the faint sound of footsteps approaching. After enduring Sasori's cruel interrogation, you knew you needed to seize this opportunity.

You had been unconscious for almost a week, and the knowledge that the Akatsuki members were out on missions filled you with determination.

You closed your eyes tightly, slowing your breath to mimic the rhythm of sleep. The door creaked open and a familiar voice broke the silence.

What you didn't realize was that the Akatsuki had people who worked for them. Not just regular workers but for every little thing such as cooking, cleaning, and medical.

"She's still out cold." A feminine voice murmured, her voice low and filled with concern. "That's Mr. Sasori for you..."

"Poor thing. Check her vitals," Another replied. You felt a gentle touch on your wrist, and you fought the urge to flinch. They didn't seem suspicious, but you knew you couldn't let your guard down.

After a moment of silence, the first voice spoke again. "Let's wrap this up."

As soon as they moved away, you felt a surge of hope. With them distracted, now was your chance. You waited until their footsteps faded into the distance before slowly opening your eyes. The room was empty, the door slightly ajar, beckoning you to a long-awaited freedom.

I sprang up, adrenaline fueling my movements as I crept towards the exit. Every step felt like a heartbeat closer to escape. The corridors were quiet and I took a deep breath before pushing the door wider.

Once outside, I paused for a moment to take in my surroundings. The base was eerily silent making anxiety strike within me. I placed a hand on my stomach and the other on the wall softly.

I stayed within the shadows through the unfamiliar base. My heart racing with anticipation.

As I finally reached the outer door, a sense of relief washed over me. Freedom was so close. I slipped through the entrance and into the cool night air, the stars twinkling above me as I dashed toward the tree line.

As my feet carried my weakened state reality settled in. I was still deep in enemy territory, and the risks were high. You needed to get as far away from the base as possible, the weight of the past week felt heavy in my mind.

This base will be raided by Shinobi as soon as I make it. Then finally the terror that the Akatsuki has caused will be avenged.

Each step was heavy as exhaustion crept into my limbs. The adrenaline that had fueled your escape was beginning to wash away, and you could feel your chakra levels plummeting after days of torture and stress. You needed help, and fast.

As you stumbled to a halt, a thought sparked your mind. Given your current state, it would be considered risky but it'll have to do. You performed the hand signs to call your summon.

Moments later a panther appeared, however, you couldn't make out a single word it tried to communicate with you. It nudged into your palm and then stuck its head under your arm.

"I need your help. Take me...to the leaf village. My chakra is low..." It let out a growl in understanding and it crouched inviting you onto its back.

You climbed on, gripping its fur tightly as it sprung forward, effortlessly weaving through the trees.

As the familiar, terrain of the forest blurred by, hope surged within you. You could almost envision the gates of the Leaf Village in your mind, the warmth of home just ahead.

But right as you reached the outskirts, a sudden wave of dizziness washed over you. "Just a bit further," You urged, but your voice felt faint.

Your chakra was running dangerously low, and you knew it wouldn't hold for long. Just as you reached the edge of the forest, the panther slowed and panic went through your body.

The panther suddenly puffed and disappeared causing my body to roll onto the ground. "No! Not now!" you cried out.

You used every last bit of energy in you to move forward. Just as you reached the gates, a chilling presence made itself known.

He used his space and time jutsu warping right in arm's length of you. He yanked you backward so that you fell completely in his grasp. "No!"

"Tobi..." You gasped as recognition flooded within you. You observed his attire and an unsettling feeling arose within you.

The black cloak with red clouds. In his free hand, an orange mask. He teleported you further away from the gates into a forest. His face was a mixture of anger and desperation, eyes burning with an intensity that sent fear coursing through your body.

"How are you- You- You're with them?!" I attempted to snatch my arm from his grasp but his iron grip made that impossible.

"Did you really think you could escape?" He growled pressing my body more into the tree. His voice was low and filled with an unsettling urgency. "You're not leaving me ever again."

You struggled against his grip and panic arose in your chest. "Let me go! I have to get back!" You fought fiercely, but his strength was overwhelming, especially in your current weak state.

Tobi stepped closer into your personal space that he used to have access to with ease. But not anymore. Everything would be different.

"You belong with me, Y/n. I won't let anyone take you away," His voice dropped with a mixture of possession and obsession.

His grip tightened painfully as he began dragging you more into the forest, each step pulling you further away. You fought in his grasp but it deems useless.

He ended up getting fed up shooting me a murderous glare and then throwing me over his shoulder.
