Whispers of Obsession

Shoji match

You ended up spending a lot of the day with Tobi. That was something you didn't expect but it happened. You ate food and watched a movie.

Now you were on your way to meet up with Asuma for your 'shoji match'.

You raised your fist to knock on the door. "It's open." He responded. Removing your shoes you sigh.

"You ready to get the match started?" He blew out some smoke. You walked outside to the back patio taking your seat in front of him. "The first play?"

"I'm not sure if you've heard but Kazuma's son is here." The piece in your hand fell. "What."

Kazuma was one of the twelve Guardian ninjas. You weren't particularly fond of him but his skills were good.

He led the coup d'etat against the leaf village. You were aware of his son, Sora, since Kazuma left him in the care of the monks at the temple.

Kazuma was the main reason for the fight between the twelve guardian ninja. Only Ryoko, Asuma, and Chiriku survived.

No one other than us knew the cause of the sudden disbandment.

"Why is he here?" You moved your piece on the board and glanced up at Asuma. "He's nothing like his father if that's what you're thinking."

"I understand why you're wary. I'm not making you but I'm asking you to talk to him." You watched as he lowered a piece onto the board. "You knew him before the coup."

"I'll only consider it for now." He nodded.

The next morning you were summoned but the hokage but before you fully reached the guiding an explosion occurred from the wall.

"The hell!" You ran to the scene only to see Sora and Asuma using their wind style against one another.

Asuma then kicked him into the wall. You ran to his side and observed him. "Hey, you alright?" He nodded. "That's Sora."

"Why the hell is he attacking you like this." You spat out. "I told him I was responsible for his father's death."

"How dare you...kill my father..." You closed your eyes and leaned into your fist that held your kunai. His hand suddenly began transforming into one of a claw.

Midway he collapsed onto the ground. Once he was down multiple shuriken were thrown at him. You moved in front of him and deflected some and the other half a blonde boy let them stab him as he looked down at Sora.

Your eyes widened at the blood. You looked at the masked individual who was revealed to be a foundation member. You and Asuma exchanged a glance.

"You betrayed your comrades....and my father..." Sora began. Your fist clenched as you glanced at the ground. "I'll avenge my father!" He charged at Asuma once more but this time a heavy wind distracted us which allowed Sora to get away.

"Sora..." Naruto mumbled before fainting. You reached to catch him before he could fully hit the ground. "Naruto!" Asuma said in concern.

It was nightfall and you were unable to sleep. Earlier events still rung in your head. If Kazuma is dead who's deceiving this kid?

As you exited your house, you yet again sensed a powerful chakra. You jogged into the village looking around in confusion.

"It's here but stronger this way..." You whispered. No doubt the direction was in the way of the Hokage's office. You sent a clone ahead and no doubt it was destroyed.

Sora.

You full-on ran to the Hokage's office only to find Naruto holding Sora away from Lady Tsunade. You infused chakra into your hand and grabbed Sora's chakra-infused claw. "Release him Naruto."

Once he did so, you threw him into the wall. Hard. "Are you alright Lady Tsunade?" You glanced at her in the corner of your eye and saw that she gave a nod.

"How dare you attack the Hokage?!" She allowed him to stay in the village and he does a disrespectful act like this. It's unforgivable.

Shizune and an anbu rushed inside.

Sora jumped from the wall and Naruto immediately went after him. Suddenly darkness coated the village.

Lady Tsunade announced to gather all unit captains. You however were silent to the whole matter. "Y/n you too." You nodded at her words walking alongside her in the Hokage halls.

"Lady Tsunade-" A pink-haired girl ran straight into her. "I'm gathering all unit captains right now. I will talk to you later Sakura."

Your mind turned to Naruto who immediately went after Sora. From what you know, that kid has nine tails within him. If the enemy were to get their hands on him...it would end well for the leaf.

"The hotline has been secured. We can now respond to enemy attacks no matter where the enemy attack comes from." Shizune announced.

You stood on the other side of Tsunade scanning into the distance. There was no doubt something was about to go down.
