Whispers of Obsession

A silent thought

You woke up the next morning entangled in a strong warm embrace. Your eyes sleepily opened in confusion.

He stayed.

You were lying on one of his arms that was secure around your waist and the other was draped across your chest. You began to shift causing his grip to tighten subconsciously.

You slowly wiggled out of his embrace and put a pillow in your place. You admired how comfortable and relaxed he looked. Picking up the excess covers you tucked him in before entering your bathroom.

"..what the fuck..." You whispered feeling your collarbone and chest. Hickies were littered everywhere. Every time the two of you had sex he would but this time there were more.

You did your morning routine and removed the bandage on your leg. It was all healed up and Lady Tsunade had already permitted you to remove it today.

You threw on a pair of leggings and a long-sleeved zip-up that you would usually wear when you go to work out.

You exited the bathroom looking at Tobi who was still knocked out. You quietly opened the door and left to exit your house.

Since your house was a little away from the village it was a pretty good route for you to get a jog in.

Soon you finally made it into the main part of the village. "Hey y/n, are dining in today?" The older lady smiled.

Let me tell you. This stall had the best food you had ever tasted. So it was normally they were used to seeing you because you almost always ate here.

'Kaji's shop and goods'

"Not today Ms. K. I need to place an order for me to pick up." You smiled and she grabbed her notepad. "Okay, the usual?"

"That and also another order of pancakes and throw in some good stuff." You said deep in thought. You didn't know what Tobi liked let alone what he didn't.

"Who's the lucky guy?" Your eyes widened and your face fell into embarrassment. "I- a friend of mine." You forced a smile to stop the thoughts that filled your head. "That mark right there says otherwise. It'll be ready in 10." She laughed.

You slapped a hand over your neck. Too late she already saw it. You adjusted the collar of your jacket and sighed. It must've moved down when you were jogging.

"Hey kid," A finger was thumped against your temple making you hiss and glare at the perpetrator. "Where ya headed?"

You discreetly gathered a small rock. "Oh nothing much just grabbing a bite to eat..." You flicked the rock at his head successfully hitting him.

Or so you thought.

He held up the small rock in between his fingers making your victorious smile fall. "You couldn't let me- PUT IT DOWN!" Asuma picked up a funny-looking bug holding it out at you.

Yes, you're a ninja- A highly skilled one at that but you didn't mess with bugs. You couldn't.

He laughed flinging it away. "You started it." Your jaw dropped. "You hit me first!" You pointed out crossing your arms.

"Oh, there's Asuma Sensei." One of his students, Choji, announced. "And y/n!" Ino smiled in excitement.

The two of you were still throwing shots at one another and you hadn't noticed the small crowd that watched the two of you in concern.

"Give me the time and date. You know I'd kick your ass gramps!" You shot back at him. "I locked you in a crate and it took you how long to get out of it?"

"You said I couldn't use any justu. So please explain to me how I was supposed to get out!"

"Uh Asuma Sen-"

"If you would've listened when I tried to help your wind style, You wouldn't have been in a box y/n." He smiled sarcastically making your eye twitch.

It all started when your older brother, Ryoko, introduced you to Chiriku. You trained with him for a while and later met Asuma who left home after a disagreement with his father, Hiruzen.

You weren't always with them though. It was when Chiriku contacted you to inform you of Ryoko's death.

You sent a letter to your parents and decided to go to the leaf village with Asuma since you knew Ryoko trusted him. You met the third Hokage and he offered you to become a leaf jounin after seeing your skills.

Later you discovered the anbu and that's when you met Kakashi. You met Kurenei around the time you first made it into the village also and found out how she had a slight crush on Asuma. And that's how all of those events led up to this very moment.

"Asuma Sensei!" Shikamaru interrupted. The two of you stopped your childish behavior and turned your attention to the intelligent kid. "We have training.." He mumbled lazily.

"Right. I'll meet you three at the training grounds. Y/n I did need to talk to you though." The tone in his voice was no longer a joking manner but it was serious. He looked around at the busy street and shook his head. "Stop by later. I want a rematch of Shoji."

"I'll be there." The two of you parted ways and by now Ms. K had called you over to retrieve your food. Once you got it you began walking back home.

Usually when you and Asuma played 'shoji' it was a secure enough area to talk about anything and everything. You could only wonder how serious this conversation would be.

"Oh, you're awake. I brought food." Right as you entered your house Tobi was putting on a shirt exiting the bedroom. "You didn't have to," He placed a kiss on your head taking the bags from your hands.

You wanted to ask him what you were to him but you also didn't want to ruin what the two of you had going.
