Resonance

"You're an asshole for doing that to your son." You spat out holding your chained fist out at him.

You look over and see that Sora now has three of the Nine Tail's cloak. "Sora has flipped at last. Nobody can stop him now."

"Kazuma... You jerk!" Asuma glared

Shikamaru used his shadow strangle justu but came to realize it was no good. "Shiro."

She ran a circle around Sora masking an illusion. You swung the chakra-infused chain successfully roping him. "Do you have a plan yet Naruto?" You called over to him as you slung Sora midway on the ground.

He grabbed the chain sending a hot heat from the nine tails burning your hand then using a tail from the cloak to throw you feet away from him.

"Damn it!" You cursed. "Y/n!" Sakura and Ino yelled. You held up a hand preventing them from coming over any further.

"Don't waste your chakra on me. Heal your classmates first!" You ordered. Kiba and Choji threw themselves at Sora repeatedly causing Sakura and Ino to have to continuously heal them.

You look over and see Naruto also transforming into his nine-tail cloak.

By now Sora had almost fully involved. "That's not good! Guys get back!" Shikamaru shouted.

"Sora snap out of it damn it." You formed a hand symbol, one similar to the monks at the temple. He's out of control. There's a low chance this will work.

You formed the next symbol taking another step.

Everything about this screams bad idea but it's worth a shot.

"Y/n!" The fully evolved tail hit you into a pile of debris. It felt as if your head was hammering against your skull. Shiro ran to you nudging her paw against your forehead.

"Yeah, I know." You mumbled sitting up. "Reckless." Was all she said as you slowly blinked.

Asuma defeated Kazuma with the help of Sai who left the hospital due to the commotion outside.

Sora's body wore out and Naruto managed to successfully get to him.

"You look like shit," Asuma commented making you weakly flip him off. "So. Is he finally gone?" You looked at the woods he just exited from and he puffed out cigarette smoke and then nodded.

"How's Sora?" You look over into the distance where everyone had gathered. "He's making new friends. He should be okay though."

"So everyone's alright?" You look up as he helps you up slinging your arm around his shoulders for support. "Yes, they'll be fine. You on the other hand-"

"I'm fine." You sigh feeling your body fall into a familiar state of unconsciousness. "Y/n!"

After a very long night, the battle finally came to an end. You throw the hospital blankets off of you and groan in annoyance.

You stood up quickly and a hand flew to your stomach. The mirror in the corner of the room showed how beat up you looked. You lift the gown to see a scar the Nine tails left on you.

There were bandages on your right hand from the burn mark. You open the slid door bumping straight into a chest. "What the hell are doing out of bed?" You groan rubbing your face.

Out of all people.

"What are you doing here, Kakashi." He held up a bag looking down at your beat-up state. "I'm not hungry." He pushed past you shutting the door behind him.

"The village had to be repaired." You hissed. "How can you do anything when you are barely standing on your two feet."

"Ouch." You scrunched your face. "Now sit. Eat this and don't even think about arguing with me." He tossed the bag onto your lap and you groaned putting your head against pillows.

"Where were you anyway? We could've died." You nonchalantly said opening the bag. "Mission." He took the container you set down and removed the lid.

A knock sounded at the door. You looked at Kakashi and he shrugged his shoulders. "Come in."

You scooped up some rice stuffing it in your mouth. "Oh, Asuma." You muttered chewing your food closing your eyes savoring the flavor.

Best meal.

"Thought you didn't want it." Kakashi shot out talking a piece of beef. The door slid open once again and you furrowed your brows. A smile beamed on your face at the visitor.

"Kurenei!!" You excitedly cheered. "You didn't act this excited when you saw me." Asuma crossed his arms. Kakashi took the spoon from you and held it away.

"Same here. Better yet I caught her trying to leave." He smirked as you slowly turned your head to him.

Asshole.

"You tried to leave?! Y/n you're hurt!" Kurenei walked to the other side of the bed grabbing your arm and checking your monitor. "I strongly dislike you by the way." You said to Kakashi snatching your silverware back.

"Anyway, Kakashi you got a minute?" Asuma said. "Kurenei you can't pull that!" You shrieked as she was checking to make sure all the wires were connected.

Asuma and Kakashi left you two in the room as you talked about anything and everything.

"I hear you checked out what was happening outside." Asuma tossed him a drink. "You could say that." He responded.

Kakashi looked at the scenery below them. "What a nice day," Asuma commented. "Hm? Yeah...it is."

"Naruto and Sakura are coming along very well." Asuma acknowledged. "And so are Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino. The next generation is growing up quickly. They'll overtake us just like that..."

"There you are...I finally found you." Kurenei approached them. "I thought you were planning to stay with Y/n?

"Oh yeah, Lady Tsunade wanted to speak with her. I told her I'll be back later tonight." She explained causing them to nod.
