'Tobi. Not much is known about him though. I believe he has some sort of teleportation ability. Be careful around him.'

This can't be a coincidence.

Once he shared with me everything he knew from his Akatsuki research we parted ways. "I have reason to believe that have some sort of base in the hidden rain. That place is full of suspicious activity. I am going to check it out."

"Is there another base nearby?" He went into thought. "Possibly one around the hidden sand. Be careful if you decide to travel through there."

———

"There's movement over there!" A shinobi shouted. "Shit." I cursed under my breath.

I climbed up onto the tree and propped myself up on the branch and pushed my bag onto my lap.

"Don't move!" A ninja shouted but it wasn't directed to me. "Both of you put your hands up and surrender whatever weapons you have. We are turning you in!" On the right side below me, I observed the group of ninjas who drew out their weapons.

"There's no point in wasting our time on these pathetic ninjas" I looked down on the left side of the branch, letting out a gasp.

And then I saw it. That black cloak with red clouds.

My eyes widened and I fumbled to untie the rope that secured me to the branch. Even if by some miracle they do manage to take the two members down...I rather not get sent to a foreign village's prison.

How I was going to get out of this situation? Not a clue.

"Oh come on I can test out my new tricks on them, un."

What made the situation worse at hand was if they were to fight, I'd be caught in the middle of it. I'm also not sure which Akatsuki members are here due to the straw hats that cover their faces.

"If you won't surrender, we will make you!" The ninja shouted at them bitterly.

Once they start fighting, I can use that as my opening to leave!

Suddenly one of the ninjas exploded. My eyes widened at Deidara. The other ninjas were stunned in place for a second before charging at the two.

It's Deidara and I'm assuming that's Sasori.

It was fear that resonated through me, it was anger and resentment. I want to kill them. All of the Akatsuki's members.

But there is no use in me fighting them now without knowing what I'm up against.

I tightened the straps on my bag and booked it through the trees away from the battle.

I finally stopped once I reached a river. The stones crushed under my feet the more I approached the water.

"Finally..." I sighed taking off my bag. I took my water bottle from my bag and walked to the running stream collecting some water.

I raised it to my lips and halted.

A scorpion-like tail aimed at me. I merely dodged it. I glanced down at my left leg which was cut. I grabbed my kunai rope dart and stood in a fighting position.

"You got further than I thought you would." The disguised puppeteer said. I grinned. "What can I say? I'm full of surprises."

The rock beside their feet exploded which they both merely managed to avoid. As smoke settled in the air I took this opportunity to run once more.

But to my surprise, I couldn't. Instead, A pain rocketed up my leg and through my chest. I fell onto the ground and released a blood-curdling scream.

I clawed at my chest. My entire body felt as if it was burning from the inside. I had difficulty breathing and my body shivered as if I was in a tub of ice.

"Fuck!" I shouted grabbing out to the rocks that littered the ground. I formed my hands together shooting out a massive purple fireball at them.

But that only seemed to make it worse.

I took slow shaken breaths and reached to tie the cloth from the bottom of my shirt to the wound on my leg.

I raised my head only to see the both towering over my vulnerable state. Deidara grinned and said something to Sasori but I couldn't make out the words.

I grabbed my bottle chugging the fluids and pushing my body away from them.

"This little cat and mouse game was fun. I would say we should try it again soon but-"

"If you're going to kill me get it over with already. I rather die instead of hearing you talk." A dark laugh escaped from Sasori while Deidara glared at me in annoyance.

"What village are you from?" He demanded. I however remained silent trying to suppress the pained screams from the poison. It was eating me alive.

"You want the antidote, don't you?" He pressed in amusement. My teeth chattered together and my body twitched. "You can....take that antidote...and shove it...up your ass...-"

My vision went black.
