~8pm~
I drag my small luggage bag behind me and walk to the car. All of my other belongings are already being flown to Texas.
My luggage quickly became heavy for me and the next thing I knew, I tripped and fell on my butt on the concrete.
I: Ow
I muttered, highly irritated, then a dark figure stands in front of me, blocking the light coming from the house as it stares down at me, as my eyes adjust I soon realize it was Simon, with just a small grin on his face.
I: I guess you saw me, right?
He doesn't answer, nor does he offer to help me up. I huff, blowing a strand of hair out of my face before standing up, he grabs my bag from the floor, holds it over his shoulder and carries it to the car for me.
I: Thank you? I guess.
I basically mumbled to myself since he wasn't listening to me anyway, my bag is then carelessly thrown into the trunk and he forcefully closes it. I jumped at the sound, overwhelmed by the force with which he closed them.
I: My goodness! Be careful, I have fragile things in there.
I noticed that Simon is very abrupt, he always did things out of nowhere, for example this morning he was playing with his pocket knife while I was reading a book and he hit the knife right past my head and threw it against the wall. I swear he's trying to kill me instead of protecting me. Although the fact that he had good aim was pretty hot...
He has done nothing but bother me everywhere I Go today , he appeared behind the bathroom door when I showered, sat on the couch while I drank tea, he even stood against a wall while I made paper airplanes.
I remember repeating the words several times: "Stop following me!" But no matter how many times I told him, he never showed any reaction other than ignoring me. Of course I appreciate him protecting me, but it's not like tea and paper airplanes will harm me.
Then I go back inside to find my mother's necklace that she gave me before she left to live a normal life. I search through every drawer and under every pillow in my room, only to spot Simon in the room opposite mine.
When I saw it I totally regretted it, well not entirely. Simon grabs the shirt, pulls it over him. The shirt gets thrown on the floor and all I could see were the muscles in his back contracting with every movement, he had several tattoos on his arms and even one few on his neck, which only added to his dark character.
I swallow, my eyes widening as he turns and looks me in the eye. He only looks at me for a few seconds before taking off the chain he had around his neck.
I tried to look away, but I couldn't. Then our eyes met again and I just saw a little grin on his lips. Then he closes the door and I finally turn my attention away from his door.
God, how can someone so perfect be such an asshole?
I snap myself out of my daze and finally find the necklace on my bedside table, as I go back downstairs I see Simon and my father talking quietly in the hallway. I could see Simon's lips murmuring, which made me curious as to what his voice sounded like.
Both are silent as I approach them and my father speaks up.
D: You two better get on the road then.
His finger points at me before continuing.
D: Remember. Simon knows what's best for you. I gave him permission to use minimal force against you if you don't listen to his instructions.
I lifted my head, sending him a weak smile as I was pulled into a hug, we said goodbye and soon enough I was in the car waiting for Simon to sit in the driver's seat, the car was nice, smooth leather seats and pretty lots of space to feel good.
Simon takes his seat and starts the car with the keys while I buckle up. He begins to pull out of the driveway while gripping in the wheel tightly. I frown, a little worried that he didn't think to do his seatbelt.
I: You need to do your seatbelt.
I say softly, trying to get him to talk since I was so curious about how he sounded. He ignores me once again and stares at the road. I felt like I was talking to a statue.
I: Please put on your seatbelt.
He still refuses and without thinking I lean in and do it for him. His eyes wander to me confused and annoyed, I wouldn't be surprised if he found me annoying but I thought I did could get on his nerves, maybe he would talk to me then.
I: Sorry. I just have OCD when it comes to certain things.
His eyes turn back to the road and I turn to the side, crossing my legs to look at him more easily.
I: You don't talk much, do you?
He doesn't answer, remains silent and focused.
I: I like your eyes.
He ran his tongue over his teeth indicating he was bored, two hours later I was talking non-stop about random topics, I know he isn't even listening. He looked out the window at the miles of desert that surrounded us.
Simon takes a deep breath, clenches his jaw, and I find myself grinning at how insanely hot he was.
I slide further down my seat, throw my legs on the dashboard, and finally give up. I didn't have a phone because they tracked me on my GPS the last time or every time a call or text was sent to me. I also dropped my iPad the other day so there was nothing to distract me.
Just the silent company of Simon.
Three more hours passed and I started talking again.
I: Well my favorite color is purple. I assume yours is black? I know because you wear it so often. Not that's not-
His hand grabs the radio and turns it up loud until my voice faded out, I moved my lips part completely offended but I should have expected it.
Huffing, I reach over and turn off the music.
I: That was a bit rude.
Simon didn't respond to that either. He just drove further into the night and hadn't said a word the entire drive.
I: All I wanted to say is that black lo-
This time he reaches over to the dashboard in front of me and pulls out a pistol.
I: What are you going to do? Shoot me?
He takes his hands off the steering wheel and I hear a click, which means he has the gun loaded. Swallowing, I remained silent for the rest of the night.
