My eyes stare up at the bright blue sky, I lay on the grass for what felt like half an hour. When I finally had enough, I got up from the ground and slowly walked into the house.

Then I was greeted with the usual silence; not a single sound could be heard through the house, the peaceful atmosphere made me want to shower, the shower becoming my own kingdom. I stood there for so long, letting the warm water soothe the pain in my bones and lull me to exhaustion. I wanted nothing more than to take a nap.

After changing into a comfortable pair of clothes, I make my way to my bedroom and lazily collapse onto the soft mattress.

Soon I was too tired to register the footsteps that stopped right behind me.

S: What are you doing?

I groan tiredly and bury my face deeper into the pillow.

I: Go away, I'm sleeping, what does it look like?
S: In my bedroom?

He remarked. I pause for a moment and raise my head to look around. The luggage lying open on the floor with his clothes was actually enough to convince me that this was his bedroom. I then let my head fall back into the pillow, without a care in the world.

I: Oh, I'm sorry.

All tangled up in the white sheets, I wake up to the smell of Simon's cologne, as I turn my head I am greeted with the sight of him crouched next to his luggage, looking for something to wear.

This led to his half naked body, in only a light green towel covering everything below his waist. His wet locks floated over his eyes as he looked down and twirled his clothes around.

I let my eyes widen and snap my head away from him, pretending to be unaware of his presence, and I dared to look again as I saw the drops of water scattered on his tanning skin, why is this man so twisted yet so overwhelmingly attractive to look at?!

A phone rang from a short distance in the room, and I pretend to be asleep as I hear the movements in the room.

S: Mr. Gates, good morning.

My father was speaking loudly on the phone, so I heard a lot of what he said on the other line.

D: Simon, my boy! How's my daughter?
S: She's sleeping.
D: Fallen asleep? She should get up and do some exercise. How does that even work?

Simon paused, trying to think of an answer.

He would never lie to my father, so I don't expect to tell him that things are going so well.

S: Not very well, sir.

I almost scoffed, mentally wanting to say that I had actually hit Simon in the balls, but that wouldn't really help on my part.

D: I thought she wasn't made for fighting, at least it gave you two something to do for a while... then again, I need you to work with Johnny and Miss Coleman on a project. They already have leads, so you're in charge of the research they can't complete. Understood?
S: Of course, sir, I'll get right to it now.
D: Great, and make sure Isa has something to do too. The poor girl must have driven to boredom.
S: How?
D: She likes making music, give her one of your devices that you took and let her continue with whatever app you choose to be acceptable. She should just make music, nothing more. Also, no matter how much she questions or bothers you about the project, don't let her interfere. You know how she can be.

My father informs as Simon sighs.

S: I do.
D: So are we all clear?
S: Yes, sir.

He seemed to hang up and from the silence I hear him start to get dressed.

S: You heard your father so don't ask me anything.

I curse under my breath before opening my eyes. He had known I hadn't slept the whole time. I rose from the mattress and looked up at him.

I: Don't worry, I didn't want to disturb you anyway.

I mumble and start throwing the sheets off me.

S: I'm downstairs.

I nod and roll off the bed to my feet.

I: Okay, I'm outside getting some fresh air.

Just as those words escape my mouth I trip over a pair of jeans that have been thrown on the floor, Simon quickly moves in front of me and catches my hip and I calm down.

S: Be a little less clumsy, okay?
