It's currently 9pm and Johnny was visibly agitated as he and Simon started working on the computer, the fact that Simon hadn't really done anything to help made things worse and I noticed Johnny was keeping a very close eye on us.He definitely has more character than I thought, unlike Simon who refused to just show any emotion.
Johnny seems to be more on the safe side though. He doesn't want to have anything to do with anything that isn't part of his orders, which makes me understand a little more what Simon had said earlier.
I: It's not like he's going to confess to my dad.
S: You'd be surprised. It kind of made me sad knowing that supposedly his only friend in the world would turn on him like that.
J: Okay, we know where Ray is, it's your decision.
I hear Johnny say to Simom as he leans back in his chair while quickly looking at me. I sat silently on the couch behind them, aimlessly playing with the music on Simon's tablet.
S: We'll get dressed, pay him a little visit and get some answers, we'll go from there.
Simon said dryly, reading through all the information again to make sure everything was correct.
J: When?
S: Tomorrow.
J: Tomorrow?Johnny spat and received a warning look from Simom.
J: We're trying to save a mafia corporation here, not planning a trip to a zoo, that needs to be as soon as possible-
S: Tomorrow.Simon snapped a little louder and turned his eyes back to the screen. At that, Johnny took a deep breath, eyebrows raised, and shook his head.
J: I have no idea what's gotten into you for the past two months, but it's driving me crazy.
Johnny stands up as Simom turns around and opens his lips to speak.
S: What?
The blue-eyed man stares at Simon's angry face without thinking as he shrugs.
J: Simom, two months ago you would have done the job, I don't know... your head seems to be in the wrong place.
Ironic, I thought to myself.
Simom's face remains unimpressed, but knowing him, I could tell there was a slight difference in his appearance. He wasn't at all pleased with what Johnny had said, and it seems like he's actually thinking about it now.
S: Morning.
Simom said again, standing up and slamming the bedroom door behind him with even force.
We agreed that Johnny could sleep on the couch, so I followed Simom's footsteps so Johnny had his privacy.
When I enter the room, I press my back against the door to close it to see Simon angrily stripping off his clothes. I watch him with concern as he strips down to nothing but his underwear. Like almost an irritated little boy, he lifts the blanket on the mattress and slides under it. I think for a moment about what to say, knowing that he is not tired.
I: You shouldn't listen to what Johnny says... because to be honest, you haven't changed.
I started, speaking to the back of his head.
I: Let's be honest, you're still an asshole.
My words make him sit up, and he looks at me with such sarcasm and anger on his face that it felt like knives were being thrown at me. He said nothing, he just stared.
My lips press together and I finally find the will to look away from him, put the tablet down and lie down next to him under the covers. My lips part when I feel him grab my arms and pull me closer so that my head is level with his chest.
I smile softly to myself and let my head rest on his neck while my leg wraps around his waist.
S: What are you doing?
I: You're the one who pulled me, so you have to let me get comfortable.
S: No.His large hands reach under my arms and pull me up so that I'm straddling his waist. Apparently he doesn't want to sleep yet. I keep my hands on his chest as I look down at him exhaustedly as he leans back against the headboard of the bed.
I: Would you like to... talk about what Johnny said or?
S: How about we don't... and we...He leans forward to my face, staring at my lips as he licks his, his steamy breath hitting my mouth, it only triggered memories of how his lips felt. The thought made my mouth water. But when he leans forward, I push against his chest, rendering him speechless as he looks at me with raised eyebrows.
I: Not today.
I say with a fake, cocky smile.
I: Why are you looking at me like that? Surprised?
S: It was actually very hot.
I: Why, thank you.My smile widens, my cheeks flushing at his bold comment. He stares at me at his waist, waiting for me to say something else.
I: Are you sure you don't want to talk about it?
S: What did Johnny say?
I: Yes. Because you seem...absent.
S: No, I don't want to get into that because it will make things worse. Trust me, it's better if we don't talk about it.
I: But-
S: It's best if you stop this before I get mad.He informed me sternly, causing my mouth to twist into a frown, waiting in silence for me to protest with a sigh, but it never came.
I: Okay...
I breathe against his lips, leaning a little closer to close the space between our lips, as his arms hug my body, I wrap my arms around his neck as if by instinct. Surprisingly, the kiss was gentle and quite slow.
I couldn't stop each time our lips met again, the sound of our kissing the only thing that could be heard in the room other than our breathing and the sound of the blanket as he lifts it over me. A soft whimper escapes my mouth as my lip is pulled between his teeth.
Then he deepened the kiss and my body chilled. I just couldn't resist as he gave me that kind of affection that made me believe I was completely in love with him.
Not long now, he turns us around so that he was hovering over me, enveloping me in the warmth radiating from his body. It was so unusual for such a cold person to say something like that, but I enjoy it as always.
He kisses my lips one last time before leaning down to my ear, my chest felt tight and it wasn't until I was so deprived of oxygen that I realized I was holding my breath. His face being so close to mine without touching it was intimidating.
S: When I leave tomorrow, don't try to blow a fuse and burn the house down. Okay dollface?
I: I can't promise anything.
