P: Imagine... You take every mafia's manageable money accounts, they'll be pissed, they'll lose their shit and they won't know who's doing it.
S: That'll just make them want Isa even more, you're digging a hole.Simon hastily points out, eyeing Price sternly.
P: Not if our identities are completely obscured.
Price just admits, Simon shakes his head in response.
S: You can't have everyone-
P: And... we'll keep everything on the down low. We'll be in control, blocking all access to the bank, disabling all tracking devices. They won't know, the bank will be under our control for three hours at a time, which we'll use to get the money and get information, no one will know who's behind it or even who's running it.I don't have much to say, really, I just sit there quietly feeling like I have no place in this conversation and am just here to watch and listen.
I: Sounds good.
I lean back in my chair and play with my fingers.
D: I like it, but I am concerned about the actions the other organizations might take.
P: As long as our identities are completely sealed, we eliminate any form of communication or gaps between our wires, we have nothing to worry about. I suggest you keep the lights off, no communication over wavelengths; radios, cell phones, blah blah. we need to keep any notion of us out. They can't know it's us.Another silence fills the room. I've gotten used to silence. I've noticed it's very common in my life these days, although I now find it peaceful rather than irritating. In my moment of thought, Simon leans forward and puts the document back on the desk surface.
S: I will do it. But I want to have it under my command, everything I say applies while we are in the bank.
Price giggles at him like he's stupid.
P: You? Why would you ever think we'd give you control after what you did?
S: Sorry, Price. But I wasn't talking to you.Price rolls his eyes mockingly and remains quiet.
S: Now stay out of this.
Simon turns to my father, leaning his elbows on his knees.
D: You are not trustworthy at this point. I will not give you full authority for this mission.
My father concludes, causing Simon to grit his jaw angrily.
S: I've managed every other operation. Every single one that failed was one I didn't participate in.
D: I know, but I won't let you make a fool of me again.
S: This will be successful for us if you let me-
D: I won't repeat myself! My father spits, clearly fixated on his words.
D: At three in the morning we will assemble a team of my best men. Price, start gathering the necessary things together, everyone out now.
A sigh leaves my lips as I stand up, Simom is the first to leave, visibly angry at the outcome of the decision. Price excitedly explains that he will prepare everything and manages to walk out right behind me.
P: It would be great if you could join us, too bad you have to stay here.
He closes the door behind him and I continue to my room with him close behind my steps.
I: Yeah... too bad.
I stare at my feet and fold my arms over my stomach.
P: Talk to your father. You seem to make the most confident man the most insecure.
I: I'll think about it.
