The sun began to set, the sky turned almost purple while small houses began to appear.

S: It's not far now.

I decided to stay quiet and not give him an answer, which seemed perfectly fine with him, I won't stay with Simon anymore, which is somehow a relief, he's made this trip much harder than it had to be and it's clear he doesn't like me at all.

I turn my eyes away from the dashboard and stare at Simon as he drives, his face was cold and rigid, showing no emotion.

S: Stop staring at me.

He said carelessly, his voice changed, rapper than usual due to the lack of water.

I: Sorry.

I mumble and turn away from him. He was silent once again, ending our little conversation there. This man irritates me to a terrible extent, I feel compelled to punch him in the face several times, my eyes fixed on my hands as I played with my fingers.

I: How long do you think it will take for them to find me again?

Simon didn't answer right away, as I expected. Although it surprised me seconds later when he did.

S: What makes you think they will find you?

He says dryly, I let my eyes look at him and his serious expression.

I: They will... they always do.
S: Well, I won't be here, so it's not up to me.
I: I thought you were supposed to protect me. That you only care about what happens to me and not anyone else.
S: I don't care about you, but because of your father's orders and the rules, I have to follow them, you have to look after your safety.
I: So if it wasn't your orders, you would have me killed?

He just nodded and shrugged.

S: That's how it works.

This man is such an asshole, then again, it's not like I really get my hopes up; he wouldn't admit he cares about me, would he?

I: Insensitive asshole.

I muttered under my breath, frowning at the road ahead. He chuckles.

S: I've heard that many times.
I: You're a sick bastard too, you kill people when they don't deserve it.

I continued to insult him, which was pointless because he wasn't affected at all. In fact, he just shrugged.

S: You kept whining about being tired. I got your ass out of the mud, dollface.
I: You make me want to throw up. Your personality is a burden and you have a special way of showing commitment.
S: Very attentive. Do you want to ask me something else?
I: You mock me at every opportunity. You're a fucking asshole.

I hissed angrily.

S: Oh no.
I: UGH! I can't stand you! And honestly, I don't care what happens to you.

Frustrated, I run my hands through my hair.

S: Perfect, you can stop being mad at me now for not taking care of you.
I: That's not why I'm mad!! You're just so damn annoying, I can't stand you!!
S: What a pity!

He exclaimed with enthusiasm, pushing me to my limits.

I: Go fuck yourself.

His jaw clenched and he gripped the steering wheel tighter, turning his knuckles white.

S: I should have been warned about your whiny brat instincts-

And I fell forward in the huge impact that sent us both a few inches forward. Two darkly dressed men in the front seats of the car behind us, I look at Simon in shock as I see it already eyeing the men behind us through the rearview mirror, possibly forming a plan in its head at impressive speed.
