Easter Egg Hunts and Cosy Fire Pits

The soft light of early morning filtered through the curtains as the everyone stirred awake on Easter Sunday. Excitement filled the air as Cisca, Lando's mother, busied herself in the kitchen preparing a special Easter brunch. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the scent of hot cross buns, creating a comforting atmosphere that enveloped the household.

Downstairs, Lando and Alexis were greeted by the sight of Cisca bustling about. She wore a bright floral apron over her casual Sunday attire, her eyes shining with maternal pride and a gentle smile on her face as she set the table for brunch. Flo and Cisca emerged from their rooms, their voices filled with laughter as they discussed plans for the day.

"Morning, family!" Lando greeted cheerfully, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Happy Easter!" He added, his voice echoing the joy that filled the house.

"Happy Easter!" echoed around the room as everyone exchanged hugs and well-wishes, the warmth of family bonds palpable in the air.

"Lando, could you please fetch the Easter decorations from the closet?" His Mum Cisca asked with a warm smile.

Lando nodded. "'Course, Mum." He replied, already making his way towards the closet.

Alexis, standing beside Lando, offered to help. "I'll give you a hand." She offered with a smile.

Together, they retrieved boxes of pastel-coloured eggs, fluffy bunny figurines, and delicate spring flowers. The decorations were carefully arranged around the house, bringing a festive charm to every corner.

Once the table was adorned with fresh flowers and a centerpiece featuring a hand-painted egg nest, the family gathered for brunch. As they savoured the delicious food, conversation flowed effortlessly. Flo and Cisca reminisced about childhood Easter egg hunts, while Oliver shared funny anecdotes from his Uni days.

After devouring the scrumptious food, which included a decadent carrot cake made by Flo, the family gathered in the backyard for the traditional Easter egg hunt. Cisca had hidden colourful eggs among the flower beds and shrubbery, their shiny surfaces gleaming in the spring sunlight.

Mila clutched Lando's hand eagerly, her eyes wide with excitement. "Lala, find eggs!" She exclaimed, her voice filled with anticipation.

Lando chuckled softly, kneeling down beside Mila. "Alright, Mila! Let's see how many we can find." He replied warmly, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

With Mila leading the way, they searched high and low, giggling with delight each time they discovered a hidden egg. Alexis watched fondly from a distance, her heart swelling with joy at the sight of Lando and Mila's bond.

Meanwhile, Savannah joined Alexis on the back porch with steaming cups of tea in hand. They settled into comfortable chairs, the gentle breeze playing with their hair as they sipped their tea in companionable silence.

"Isn't this a beautiful morning?" Savannah remarked softly, her eyes scanning the scene before them.

Alexis nodded in agreement, her gaze lingering on Lando and Mila. "It really is. The joy on Mila's face is so contagious." She replied warmly, her voice filled with affection.

Savannah smiled knowingly. "She loves Lando. Has him wrapped right around her finger, too." She remarked fondly, her eyes following Mila as she darted about the garden in search of more eggs.

As they watched the Easter egg hunt unfold, Alexis and Savannah shared stories and laughter, their conversation flowing effortlessly. They talked about the difference in traditions from Australia and the U.K. and shared memories of past Easters with their own families.
