The following morning, Cisca insisted the girls head out for brunch at a local cafe, leaving the boys to their own devices back at home. The cafe's cozy atmosphere and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee welcomed Cisca and her lively entourage - Flo, Cisca, Savannah, the ever-energetic Mila and Alexis.

The cafe buzzed with chatter and the clinking of cutlery, a vibrant backdrop to their gathering.

"Isn't this place charming, Alexis?" Cisca asked warmly, her eyes twinkling with maternal affection. "I thought you'd enjoy trying their famous avocado toast." She added with a knowing smile.

Alexis nodded eagerly, her heart warmed by Cisca's thoughtfulness. "Lando told you how much I like avocado, did he?"

"That he did, my dear." Cisca smiled back.

Flo and Cisca were already deep in conversation about their latest adventures. "You should have seen the florist we went to last weekend, Alexis! It was like stepping into a painting." Flo exclaimed animatedly, her eyes bright with excitement.

Cisca nodded in agreement, her enthusiasm infectious. "And Mila was in her element, chasing butterflies and picking up every single flower." She added with a laugh, earning a playful eye roll from Flo.

Mila bounced in her seat, practically vibrating with excitement. "Pancakes! Pancakes!" She exclaimed, her face lighting up at the prospect of a sweet treat.

Alexis chuckled softly, charmed by Mila's enthusiasm. "Pancakes sound like a wonderful choice, Mil!" She agreed warmly, her heart swelling with affection for the spirited little girl.

As they placed their orders and settled into conversation, the cafe buzzed with laughter and shared stories. Alexis listened with rapt attention as Cisca recounted fond memories of Lando and his siblings growing up, her words painted with love and nostalgia.

Throughout brunch, Alexis found herself surrounded by warmth and acceptance - a feeling of belonging that filled her with gratitude. She shared laughter and lighthearted banter with the girls of Lando's family, savoring each moment as they connected over shared experiences and dreams for the future.

As they lingered over coffee and dessert, Cisca leaned over to Alexis with a gentle smile. "We're so glad you're a part of our family, Alexis. Lando talks about you all the time," she confided warmly, her eyes shimmering with affection.

Alexis's heart swelled with happiness at Cisca's words. "Thank you, Cisca. I feel so lucky to be here with all of you." She replied sincerely, her gaze moving around the table to meet each loving gaze.

"You know, we've never seen Lando like this with a girl before." Flo leaned forward with a playful grin.

"Oh, really? What do you mean?" Alexis chuckled nervously.

Lando's other sister, Cisca, nodded eagerly in agreement with Flo, her eyes alight. "He's never been so affectionate and lovey-dovey in front of us before. He's smitten."

"You think so?" Alexis asked.

Lando's Mum, Cisca, nodded thoughtfully, her eyes shimmering with maternal pride. "Darling, we know so. Lando has always had a good eye for special people." She remarked warmly, her voice tinged with affection.

Once everyone was finished at brunch, the group decided to walk back home. The midday sun hung high, casting a golden hue over the quiet neighborhood as Alexis and Savannah strolled leisurely behind the rest of the group. Alexis couldn't help but admire Savannah's serene demeanor despite being almost nine months pregnant. Savannah radiated a sense of calm and warmth that instantly put Alexis at ease.

"So, how have you found this weekend?" Savannah asked, her voice carrying a soft, reassuring tone.

Alexis smiled, grateful for the opportunity to talk. "It's been really nice. Everyone is so great, honestly. I can see where Lando gets his kindness from."
