The afternoon sunlight filtered through the blinds, creating a gentle glow in the bedroom. Alexis lay beside Lando, the exhaustion of the past few days weighing heavily on her. Despite the light, the room felt dim and heavy, mirroring the toll the British Grand Prix had taken on both of them.

Lando was still deeply asleep, his breathing steady but his face marred by signs of fatigue. His body, pushed to its limits over the weekend, seemed to crave nothing more than rest.

The door creaked open, and Max's familiar form appeared. "Just checking if you're still alive in here. You lot have been asleep longer than a pair of hibernating bears."

Alexis shifted, barely managing to push herself up. "Hey, Max. Yeah, we're alive."

Max's gaze went to Lando, who remained motionless. "Doesn't look like he's going anywhere anytime soon. You sure he's alright? He's been a bit off."

"He's just exhausted," Alexis replied, trying to keep her voice steady. "It's been a big weekend."

Max gave a sympathetic nod but didn't press further. "Alright. Well, if you need anything, let me know. I'll be around."

"Thanks, Max." Alexis said, offering a grateful smile as he left the room.

With Max gone, Alexis took a deep breath and turned her attention to Lando. She gently placed a hand on his shoulder, giving it a light shake. "Baby, it's time to get up."

Lando stirred slightly but didn't fully awaken. He muttered something incoherent and shifted, pulling the covers more tightly around himself. "Just a little longer." He mumbled, his voice thick with sleep.

Alexis tried again, shaking him a bit more firmly. "Come on, Lando. It's already midday."

He groaned, barely opening his eyes before quickly closing them again. "Just let me sleep a bit longer." He said, his voice barely audible.

Despite her efforts, Lando's resistance was clear. His body seemed to crave more rest than he was willing to give. He shifted back into a more comfortable position, and within moments, his breathing had once again fallen into the steady rhythm of deep sleep.

Alexis sighed, a mix of concern and exasperation washing over her. She carefully got up from the bed, her mind racing with thoughts of how to handle the situation. She had hoped that waking him would help, but now she was faced with the reality that Lando's exhaustion was more profound than she had anticipated.

As she stood by the bed, Alexis felt a pang of helplessness. She knew the road to recovery was long and fraught with challenges. Lando's determination to push through was admirable but also concerning. She hoped that eventually, he would understand the importance of listening to his body.

With a heavy heart, Alexis left the room, determined to give him the space he seemed to need. As she walked down the hallway, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease.

The kitchen was a haven of quietude, the sunlight streaming through the windows casting a warm glow over the polished countertops. Alexis stood by the stove, stirring a pot of soup. The rhythmic motion of the spoon was soothing, a small act of normalcy amidst the tumult of recent events.

Max entered the kitchen, his usual air of casual confidence slightly overshadowed by a genuine note of concern. He leaned against the doorway, surveying the scene with a frown. "You've been in here a while. Everything okay with you and Lando?"

Alexis turned, a slight smile touching her lips at the sight of Max but wary of the direction the conversation might take. "Yeah, we're okay."

Max crossed the room and leaned against the counter, his eyes searching hers. "Lando's been a bit... out of sorts. I know you said he's tired, but there's more to it, isn't there?"
