Miami Heating Up

The steam from the shower curled lazily around Alexis as she stepped out, wrapping herself in a plush hotel robe. Her day had been filled with exploration and bonding with Heidi, but now, as she towelled her hair dry, she eagerly anticipated Lando's return from his packed day.

Just as she finished brushing her hair, she heard the faint sound of the hotel room door opening. Before she could even turn around, Lando swept into the room, his energy infectious as he crossed the distance in long strides.

"Baby!" He exclaimed, pulling her into a tight embrace. "I missed you."

Alexis melted into his arms, returning the hug with equal fervour. "I missed you too." She murmured against his chest, inhaling the familiar scent of his cologne mingled with the sweat of a busy day.

Lando pulled back slightly, his hands framing her face as he leaned in to kiss her deeply, their lips meeting with a hunger that spoke of longing and reunion.

As they broke the kiss, Lando's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Guess what? The shoot for my Miami helmet went really well." He announced proudly, his voice tinged with satisfaction. "It's going to look awesome on the grid."

Alexis grinned, genuinely pleased for him. "That's so great, Lan. I can't wait to see it." She replied warmly, her hands resting on his arms.

With a gentle smile, Lando listened attentively as Alexis recounted her day with Heidi, describing their visit to Wynwood Walls and the laughter they shared over lunch. He chuckled at some of their adventures, his heart warmed by the image of Alexis enjoying herself.

"It sounds like you two had a great time." Lando remarked, his tone filled with genuine happiness for her.

"We did." Alexis confirmed with a nod, her eyes bright with affection. "Heidi's really great. I'm glad we got to spend some time together."

As evening settled over Miami, Lando and Alexis found solace in the quiet of their hotel room. Lando had taken charge of dinner, ordering a lavish spread of food through room service.

"I thought we could use a little relaxation after today. Just us two." Lando said with a grin as he set the plates down on the small dining table.

Alexis smiled warmly, her eyes flickering with gratitude as she settled into her seat opposite him. "This looks amazing, baby. I'm starving." She said sincerely, reaching for her glass of wine.

They ate slowly, savouring each bite and enjoying the simple pleasure of each other's company. The conversation flowed effortlessly as they continued discussed their days, sharing anecdotes and laughter amidst the soothing backdrop of the hotel room.

"I was thinking," Lando began, his voice thoughtful as he glanced across the table at Alexis, "After media day tomorrow, how about we head to the beach? We can ask a few of the others if they're free."

Alexis' eyes lit up with enthusiasm. "That sounds perfect." She replied eagerly, her mind already imagining the sun-drenched sands and the refreshing ocean breeze. "Who were you thinking of inviting?"

Lando listed off a few names - Daniel and Heidi, George and Carmen, and Alex. "It'll be a nice way to unwind before the real action starts." He added with a grin.

They lingered over dessert, indulging in a decadent chocolate mousse that melted on their tongues, the sweetness a perfect complement to the quiet intimacy they shared. As they finished their meal, Lando reached across the table to take Alexis' hand in his, his touch tender and reassuring.

With a contented sigh, they cleared the table and settled onto the couch, their bodies entwined as they watched the city lights twinkle outside their window. As the night deepened, they allowed themselves to be wrapped in the tranquility of it all, knowing that tomorrow would bring new challenges and exhilarating moments, but tonight, they were simply two souls finding solace in each other's presence.
