The next morning Alexis groaned as she awoke, her mouth dry and her head pounding with the unmistakable throb of a hangover. She rubbed her eyes, squinting at the empty space where Lando had been the night before. She turned to the bedside table in search of her phone, and was pleasantly surprised to find a glass of water and two pain relief tablets.

Confused but grateful, Alexis quickly downed the tablets and chugged the water, the cool liquid offering some immediate comfort. Just as she was starting to feel a bit better, Lando walked back into the room, his amused eyes taking in her disheveled state. A chuckle escaped his lips, and he couldn't resist making a comment.

"Good morning, sunshine." He teased, clearly enjoying her discomfort.

Alexis groaned in response, her voice muffled as she pulled the covers up over her head. "Don't." She grumbled, hoping to hide from the world for a few more moments.

Lando sat down on the edge of the bed next to her, his playful nature shining through. "Come on, don't be like that. Let's get up and moving."

Alexis peeked out from beneath the covers, her face partially visible. She met Lando's cheeky grin with a tired but curious gaze. "Was I really that much of a hot mess yesterday?" She asked, her voice still groggy.

Lando's smirk widened. "Well, the hot part is definitely true."

Alexis stifled a laugh, rolling her eyes as she pushed herself up into a sitting position. "You're insufferable." She said with a grin, though her smile betrayed her amusement.

The pair made their way downstairs to join the rest of the group for brunch. As they descended, Alexis noticed that Heidi was still in bed, blissfully unaware of the morning's proceedings. It was a small consolation for Alexis, who felt a bit of vindication at not being the only one to have overindulged the previous day.

The group gathered around the table, chatting and enjoying the spread of fresh pastries, fruits, and coffee. As Alexis took her seat, she could still feel the residual effects of her hangover but was comforted by the warm camaraderie of her friends.

The sun blazed down on the poolside, its heat tempered only by a gentle breeze. The group had decided on a low-key day, considering the state of some people from the previous day's festivities. Heidi had yet to make an appearance, although Daniel had been frequently checking in on their bedroom to confirm she was still alive and breathing.

Alexis was content to bask in solitude on a sun lounger, her eyes closed and her skin soaking up the warmth. She was in a relaxed state, enjoying the peaceful moment, when she felt a presence block the sun in front of her.

As she opened her eyes, she saw Daniel and Alex flashing her cheeky grins, and she immediately felt an uneasy flutter in her stomach. Her concern grew as they stood together, both of them clearly plotting something. Alexis peered up at them with a wary look.

"Whatever you're thinking of doing, please don't." She said, her voice a mix of resignation and mild alarm.

Daniel, with a mischievous glint in his eye, feigned innocence. "I don't know what you're talking about." He said, barely containing his grin.

Alex shrugged with exaggerated innocence. "We're just here to hang out."

Before Alexis could react, they lunged at her, grabbing her from either side. Despite her squirming and protests, she was no match for their combined strength. They carried her to the edge of the pool, her laughter and protests mingling with theirs.
