Video calls became a fairly normal occurance for you and Kenma. You enjoyed seeing Kenma's expressive features as you beat him in games, although he won more than he lost. Whoever won, you were just glad you had someone to play with. Sometimes you wouldn't even play something together. You would just talk about your days, scrolling through random things on your phones or playing games separately of each other. It was nice just getting to call those days.

You would find yourself staring at Kenma sometimes. His hair, his skillfully observational eyes, his masterful moves whenever he plays a game. You weren't sure if he noticed your staring, but he never mentioned it if he did. Little did you know, he did the same thing to you.

"Hey, Kozume~kun," you said one day when you each were engrossed in your own games. "We've been talking for almost a month now, right?"

"Yeah, why?" He asks.

"I guess, I just kind of wanted to meet up in person."

Kenma froze. You didn't really pay that much mind. It wasn't like you guys had to meet up if you weren't comfortable. You understood if he was. You really hadn't known each other all that long. But you wanted to start hanging out with him in person, playing games at one of your houses together or next to each other. You wanted to spend time with him in person, even if it was just you laying on his floor doing absolutely nothing at all.

"We don't have to if you don't want to," you told him. He finally snapped out of his trance, comtinuing to play his game without much other thought. "I just thought it would be fun to kick your butt in person, instead of over call. Since we both live in Tokyo...I hoped it would work out."

"No, I want to," he said after a long while. "I just...am worried that my friends will start bothering you over it."

You laughed. "I could say the same to you about mine," you said. "One of them doesn't mind that I found a friend online, but my other friend is super fucking clingy. He gets upset everytime he sees me texting you."

"Really?"

"Oh, yeah," you scoffed. "I love spending time with him, but it's hard to handle him when he gets upset. If I was a manager, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. But I just go and watch their practice."

"Why not be a manager then?" Kenma asked.

You shrugged, ignoring the fact that Kenma wasn't looking in your direction. "They already have a couple. Not like they really need another. Plus, I'm not as passionate as they are. I'd just sit there confused the whole time. So I just go see them every now and then if I'm not working."

"You have a job?"

"I thought I told you? I work part time as a waitress as a cafe near my house. They don't schedule me much because I'm still in high school, but I get paid pretty well. My Senpai are nice, too."

"That's good," he said.

"Anyway," you said. "I can handle your friends trying to tease me. So, when do you want to try and meet up? I don't have work after school for the rest of the week, or we can wait until the weekend, if you want to."

Kenma's expression shifted into a soft smile. "I don't have anything to do around practice, but it might be easier to just wait until the weekend. This weekend work for you?"

You nodded. "Yeah, I can do that. I can't wait to meet you in person, Kozume~kun!"

   "Me too."

He wouldn't tell you, but he couldn't express how excited he was to finally meet in person.
