A/n: I don't normally do these, but I thought I should. So, basically, I just wanted to let y'all know I'm almost out of the rewritten ones. While I don't plan on stopping this and making a new book (my writing style is the same at this point, so even if I disappear I'll come back here), my motivation to write has been, for lack of better words, nonexistent. College is kicking my ass. So I just wanted to let you guys know in a month or so the updates are going to start spacing out a bunch more. That is, unless I can get my ass in gear and actually write...anything.
Enjoy the oneshot, y'all!

"L/n~san, we need your help."
You looked up from your book to the door of the student council room. Admittedly, you didn't normally stay this late, so had Konoha showed up on any other day, he would have been out of luck. You had some major budgeting to finish, and decided to take a short break. The numbers hurt your head, since the treasurer found something wrong with the numbers but couldn't quite locate where the issue was. So, as student council president, you offered to handle it.
Your expression flattened. "Is Bokuto...?"
Konoha's expression twisted into an incomprehensible amount of exhaustion, and his gaze fell to the floor. "I'm...I'm so sorry you have to deal with this."
You smiled. "No, it's okay. What's it about this time?"
"Well...I'm not sure," Konoha said, stepping a little farther into the empty room. "Akaashi doesn't even know. That's why he suggested that we get you, since he knew you'd still be here."
"I'm impressed that Akaashi~kun even remembered," you said, putting your bookmark in your book and standing. "I only told him because I wanted to complain to someone, and he happened to be there to listen. Well, let's go. Poor Akaashi~kun is suffering alone, right now."
"Alright," he said.
The two of you walked down the hallway toward the gym, settling into a steady rhythm. "So...how has the team been, Konoha~san? I'm sorry I haven't been down as often as I normally would."
"No, it's okay," he said. "You've been busy with the student council. We all get it."
You'd been friends with most of the volleyball team since middle school, so you simply grew close, even through high school. You often went to check on the clubs—if nothing else because there were probably things that the club leader needed to turn in—but the volleyball club was where you spent most of your time. How you managed to meet the kids from the volleyball team, you never really understood. It just happened one day, and you had been close to them ever since. They had attempted to make you a manager your first year, but you opted for the student council instead.
"Still, I wonder if that's what Bokuto is upset about," you said, a heavy sigh escaping you before you could stop it. "I've been leaving after meetings right away, but he might have overheard me telling Akaashi~kun that I was staying late and got disappointed when I didn't show."
"You know...if you got that, you might be psychic," Konoha said. "Even Akaashi couldn't get that."
"I hope that it hasn't caused you much trouble..." you said, bowing a little. "I'm guessing it's not just practice today?"
Konoha nodded. "Nekoma came over. We're used to it, and we expected it to go away, but...it just didn't. It...didn't take a lot of convincing for Nekomata~Sensei to just put the game on hold."
"How many sets has he been like this?" You asked, a little concerned.
"Well, we've played a few games. Probably, like, four? Maybe five?"
