A/n: Hey y'all! I'm sorry that this update took so long to get out! This week was the first week of my semester at college, and I've been trying to get used to my schedule. I'm taking way to many credit hours, and it's kicking my ass. On top of that, like I said before, I'm getting close to all of the finished one shots. I'll try to keep updating it as often as I can, but I'm not sure how often that'll be.
As a bit of an apology, I have another one nearly finished that I will post in a day or two so that there's an extra one out this week! That, or I say I will and I'm slammed with more work from my classes lol.
While I'm writing an authors note, I wanted to let you all know how grateful I am that you're reading these oneshots! This is the fastest I've ever gotten this many reads on a book pretty much ever. Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you enjoy this one too!

"Y/n! You were supposed to make sure he got here on time!" Hajime snapped as you shrugged Oikawa's jacket off your shoulders begrudgingly. Hajime had your jacket, and Oikawa seemed to be pretty cold, so you gave it back. He pouted a little when you did, but he moved on quickly.
"I know! I know!" You said, grabbing the jacket and hugging it close. You bowed a little to the coaches. "It's my fault Tooru is late. I'm sorry that we were a little behind."
"It was only a couple minutes," Coach Irihata said. "We should still be able to make it plenty early. Come on! Get on the bus, everyone."
You let out a breath you didn't realise you were holding as Oikawa leaned down to look at you. "You didn't have to do that, you know."
"I'm here to help hold you accountable, so I don't mind."
"I can take care of myself you know," Oikawa said flatly. "Besides, I was the one who took care of you yesterday."
Your face burned at his comments—for a lot of different reasons. Yeah, sure, you were a little embarrassed, but he admitted that he took care of you? Hearing that from him made your heart leap, but you forced down everything and just forced a smile. "I know you can take care of yourself. I just...like to help you out, is all."
Oikawa stood up taller and smiled. "And I appreciate it, but you need to take care of yourself sometimes too. You looked like you were sick."
You sighed. "Well, I feel better today," you told him. "So focus on the game, okay? We need you at your best."
Oikawa puffed out his chest dramatically, a small huff escaping him. "I'm always at my best." You tried to smile, but your efforts fell a little short. Oikawa had a problem with not taking his own exhaustion into account, so you weren't sure if that was a joke or not. No, you knew he knew he wasn't always at his best. He rarely thought he was, except for games. Oikawa studied you before sighing. "I appreciate it. I promise, I'm feeling great today. Don't worry about me, okay?"
You shifted your bag on your shoulder as you take a step toward the bus. "I'll try, Tooru."

"So, you didn't tell him?"
You flinched at Hanamaki's voice. You wheeled around and slammed your fist into his shoulder. He yelped and rubbed it a little.
"Why would I ever take advice from you idiots?" You said. "By the way, now that I'm not so flustered, I'm getting you back for making those bets."
"Oh fuck," Hanamaki muttered. "Matsukawa! Run!"
