As much as you didn't want to admit that Osamu's secret affected you, it did. A lot. You had grown mildly awkward around Atsumu. You thought, sincerely, you would be able to move on and act like nothing was wrong.

   But something was wrong.

You had started avoid Atsumu when you could. It wasn't a big thing at first. If you needed something around the house and you couldn't quite remember where, you asked Osamu. If he wasn't around, you left it. You would ask to study a little more in an attempt to distance yourself.

You didn't even notice you were doing it, for a few days. By the end of the week, you had realised what you were doing. It made you feel...awful. Atsumu was one of your closest friends! The fact that he liked you shouldn't have mattered!

Osamu had noticed about when you did. The day after you had realised, he confronted you while you were rummaging through his closet for an extra shirt. He didn't mind—you had done this before, since their clothes were comfortable and when the three of you practiced you often forgot your own. The both of them had told you to leave clothes or even just go grab yours if you didn't want to use theirs, but by that point you didn't mind raiding their closet. "Hey, N/n," Osamu said, startling you enough you slammed your head on the bar above you. You cried out and rubbed the back of your head. It actually hurt pretty bad.

"Oh, Samu," you muttered. "You scared the shit out of me. What's up?" You reached back in the closet and grabbed one of his sweatshirts—it was your favourite to take because it was merch for your favourite show, of which you had gotten the twins into in the first place.

   "Why are you avoiding Tsumu?"

You stopped moving, holding the hoodie close to you with a guilty look. "I...didn't mean to."

Osamu narrowed his eyes. "I shouldn't have told you," he said.

"Maybe not...but you did," you told him. "I really tried to ignore it, but I...can't."

"You really don't like Tsumu like that? At all?"

You sighed. You didn't. You thought you didn't, anyway. Not at the moment. Maybe it would've been easier if you had. Then you wouldn't have to feel guilty over this. You had been silently praying—begging—that Osamu's hunch was wrong. That he didn't like you. Or that you would magically like him before he said something to you.

You shook your head. "I...really don't want to hurt Tsumu like that..."

"You won't as long as he doesn't say anything. He's a pussy, anyway, so I doubt he will," Osamu said.

   You chuckled. "Has...he noticed?"

"No. He's pretty oblivious to that kind of thing," Osamu replied. "Not until you start avoiding him a lot."

   "I'm not going to!"

Osamu looked at you with an expression you couldn't quite explain. It mostly appeared to be doubt, but you weren't sure.

"Just...try to act normal," Osamu said. "I don't want to have to chose between the two of you."

   "Why?"

"Because I don't know who I'd side with."

~*~*~

You hadn't planned on avoiding Atsumu anymore. But, that didn't quite work out. You really wanted to be friends with Atsumu, but everything he did started to feel...forced. Well, not forced. But you didn't like it much. Whatever the feeling was.
