Panicking, I rushed up stairs...
Randomly I opened one of the doors and closed it quickly. I didn't know he was going to be at this party.

"y/n." my ex Adrian yelled, his voice searching for me.

a subtle cough came from behind me.

"hey." he commented.

I realised how strange it was for me to be in this guys room.
I think he was Jeremiah's older brother?

"I am so sorry for being in here, I'm y/n, one of Jeremiah's friends. Can I hide here for like 2 minutes? My ex is out there looking for me and I don't want to interact." I explained.

"Sure. Do you want me to kick him out?" He asked willingly.
I stood there a little hesitant, my eyes stayed locked with his.

"Yes please." I whispered lightly,
he nodded in agreement and told me to wait in his room.

Awkwardly I stood by the door, hoping and praying my ex wasn't going to start a scene.

"Bro you need to go. Y/n doesn't want you here." I heard a muffled voice through the door.

"What do you mean y/n doesn't want me here?" My ex replied aggressively.

Annoyed, I opened the door and saw them both standing there in the hallway, I gave my ex a look of disgust.

"You're coming home with me, y/n." My ex claimed, he tried reaching for my arm but Jeremiah's older brother shoved him backwards.

"She's staying here."

I felt my body tense up. The tension in the air was noticeable.

"Who the fuck are you anyway?"

"I'm Conrad, Jeremiah's brother and Y/n's partner." Conrad spoke back, Adrian looked over at me and shook his head. Did he believe this lie?

"Bro, she clearly doesn't want you here...or in general. So gap it." Conrad commented before his jaw clenched, I stood in between them both hoping there wouldn't be a fight tonight.

"Adrian. Leave." I pleaded. I could smell how intoxicated Adrian was, the alcohol lingering off of him. Adrian listened and left.

I followed Conrad back to his room.

"Thank you Conrad. You helped me so much." I thanked him.

"It's no problem, You can chill here if you want-" he offered but I cut him off.

"It's okay, I'll hang for 5-10 minutes and then I think I'll just Uber home." I replied, Conrad bit his lip slightly.

"I can drive you home? I haven't had any drinks tonight." Conrad offered, I took the offer and thanked him.
