The newly appointed 1st remnant expiditionary fleet, shortened to 1st S.E.T could be seen leaving the orbit of coruscant, their iconic red and white starships practically impossible to miss from a mile away
Commander doom walked through the flagship of the fleet, which was his own personal venator nicknamed the 'hammer of doom' due to its red paint being replaced with a green.
As he walked, he saw the sheer variety of troopers who were apart of this contingent. Due to the majority of the army prioritising what were to be considered more important seperatist hold outs, such as the one on the formerly seperatist capital of raxus, Chancellor amidala had to compromise. Thus, the only only clones sent on the 'remnant expidition' as it was known, were those who's performance during the clone wars could, at best, be described as mediocre. While their were elite units such as commandos, galactic marines and covert ops, they were few in number.
The regular troopers seemed to come from any and every legion or battalion under the banner if the Republic. Of course, their was fools own unit, But their was also men from the the 501st legion and it's 332nd company, the 13th, 187th or 212th battalions, the 327th star corp, and many more. Hell, even members of the coruscant guard found themselves on the expidition.
Eventually, the commander found his way to the bridge. There he found the lower officers of the 1st S.E.T. Due to the variety in armor designs, the senate decided to give the officers access to soldier models of phase 1 armor, which offered more protection at the cost of reduced agility. This armor had very little colour variation, and included a series of dots on the chest piece to identity rank
After some time waiting on the bridge, chatting with the officers over what they were doing during the clone wars and afterwards, the man they were all waiting for arrived:
Admiral wilhuff tarkin. One of the most decorated naval officers of the clone wars and commander of the Republic navy 9th fleet, tarkin had supposedly joined to gather Intel on remnant to see if it could have any benefit to the Republic. Of course, many assumed he was just their to increase his reputation, but he paid them no mind
