In an alternate universe where palpatines plots never came to fruition, the galactic Republic sends a contingent of clones to remnant to root out a seperatist holdout
It was utter chaos within the city of Vale. Despite the arrival of the atlas military, a massive grimm incursion had taken the city defences by complete surprise. The complete malfunction of the atlas robots and attacks from the white fang only helped to worsen the matter, as huntsman squads and atlesian units scrambled to gain control of the situation.
Within a matter of hours, the combined grimm and white fang forces had seized control of almost all of Vale's industrial and agricultural districts, cutting off a large portion of the citys food supply, and laying siege to the upper class district, which had been cut of in the chaos yet housed a sizable atlas garrsion. The atlesian forces were sent to secure the rest of the agricultural district and secure the road leading out of the city, while the huntsman reinforced the commercial and residential districts

-red=white fang/grimm -green=huntsmen -blue=atlas While they were moderately successful defending the rest of the city, it was clear that it wasn't going to last forever. This became clear to all when the white fang managed to form a bridgehead across the river into the residential district, which caused ozpin to issue the offer to evacuate the beacon. It looked as though the city would fall within the hour.
Fortunately, the defenders would soon be bolstered by a new face on remnant.

ithin the residential district, huntsmen teams rwby, jnpr and cfvy could be seen attempted to evacuate civilians as white fang forces move in on their position. Most of the huntsmen prioritise the evacuation, only striking down grimm in self defence, as Coco adel acts as covering fire, mowing down horde of grimm and white fang with her minigun, bashing them away as they get close

"I'm running out of ammo guys!" coco yelled out to her squad mates as she emptys the last few rounds in her gun. "you might want to hurry up!"
"we're almost there!" ruby called out to the civilians. "just keep moving!"
