Meanwhile, across the galaxy on coruscant, ozpin and tarkin stood within the grand chamber of the senate. Tarkin had been called back to report on their findings, as well as discuss new objectives and programs. And given that ozpin was seen by many as the official representative of remnant, he had been requested to join.

Currently, the senate was discussing the matter of remnants armed forces. Or more accurately, they were discussing whether to combine the armed forces of the kingdoms into a single military force.

"as a matter of security, it is vital for remnant to combine it's forces together." senator taa of ryloth stated. "this will lead to more centralised command and better coordination."

"since when did you care about the security of remnant, taa?" mon mothma retorted. "besides, there is no current galactic threat to remnant, and it would only lead to internal strife."

"and explain to me how that would be so, mothma!"

"put it like this: would you think it suitable to combine the Royal naboo security forces and the gungan grand army into a single entity?"

Taa went to retort... Only to realise she was right. The gungans and nabooians had two completely different cultures. Combining their armies would naturally lead to internal conflict.

"exactly. The cultures of remnants kingdom's are far too diverse from each other to allow centralisation of their militaries to properly work." therefore, I propose we allow the armed forces of the kingdoms to remain separate."

The senate largely agreed with this, and voted overwhelmingly for this motion.

Senator taa, clearly not happy that he didn't get his way, decided to call out tarkin.

"tarkin and his forces have been on remnant for nearly a month." the twi'lek senator stated. "and it that time he is yet to find the supposed seperatist holdout. How are we even sure it exists!?"

"one, senator, you've never been so worked up about a lack of progress before, even during the ryloth campaign. You know, the fight to reclaim your homeworld?" tarkin responded, causing many in the senate to look at taa with either disappointment or disgust." and second, Republic intelligence has routinely discovered frequencies on a seperatist channel originating from remnant. So while we cannot confirm their location, we can confirm that they are indeed on the planet."

It was at this point that senator taa, realising that the debate was not going his way, stood down. He would not utter another word for the rest of the discussions.

"with that out of the way." Mon mothma stated, adjusting her robes. "admiral, how goes the work on the planets surface."

"most visible threats have been eliminated, the remaining few cling to the edge of survival. The warlords of vacuo are soon to be crushed, the bandit tribes have been all but wiped out, and the terrorist group known as the white fang have been dissolved. Full order should he brought to the region in no time."
