I'm not a religious person, but when my principal Mr. Jonson called me in his office on Monday I did pray to God.

I had never been called in to the principals' office and I was so terrified my hands was shaking. I tried of my sweaty palms on my shirt as I sat
down, waiting to be called in. ''Ah, Ms. Foster! Please come in.'' I had met Mr. Jonson once during my few years here, but only with everyone else. Never one to one, In private. Which scared me loathes. ''Please, have a seat.'' he gestured to the empty chair by his desk. I took a seat and squeezed my fists as hard as I possibly could. ''Do
you know why I called you in this morning?'' he asked with a firm voice, but he didn't even look at me. Instead, he was looking at his computer, typing something. ''No, did I do something wrong?'' shit, even my voice was shaking. ''Not at all. In fact, you've done excellent work.''
excellent work? I'll be damned. I knew I was way ahead my classmates, and that I was pretty much done with everything we were going to be
thought for the upcoming two years we had Infront of us. But I wouldn't dare to call
my work excellent. ''I called you in today to tell you that you've been offered an intern place with NOAA'' I have what now? ''Excuse me?''

''National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, also called NOAA. Do you not know of them?'' of course I know of them! They are a big deal, and especially for a nerd like me.
''Yes, I know of them. But I still have two more years left before I get my P.H.D'' I muttered as I tried to absorb the news. This means that someone had read my published work, and actually taken a care for what I had to say. They thought my work matters, mine!
I, who have yet to finished my P.HD. I am so excited that I could jump out of my own skin. Or scream at the top of my lungs of excitement. ''Don't worry about your P.HD. consider that you are done with what we can teach you, you will be able to graduate next summer.'' I'll get to finish school a year earlier? Music to my ears, even better than Beethoven.

''However,...'' however what? I do not like the
sound of that. ''You will not be attending your last year with us. They wish to meet you next week and talk over when you can start.'' My heart is literally beating so fast it might just explode. ''Can you specify more?''

''You are done with school. All you have to do is work with them until graduation next summer. Then you'll officially have your P.HD. in marine science.'' Can someone pinch me? Am I dreaming or is this truly my life? ''That sounds great. And when did they want to meet?'' I am barbie, I am about to reach my dreams and this. All of this, is happening. I've made it, I have succeeded.

''You'll be flying out to Washington next Monday. You'll be staying for two days.'' D.C I can't wait.

I ran out the office and hurried back to class. I just barged right in, I grabbed Sam by the arms and I was jumping up and down yelling ''I'm going to Washington!''

''Freaking Washington!'' Sam didn't know why but she was also very happy for me, untill Mr. Clark yelled at both of us. ''Care to share your' news to the class? Since you're making such a big fuss about it, Ms. Foster.'' I quiet down and looked around the room, ''Sorry Mr. Clark.'' I whispered and took my seat.

''YOU DID NOT!'' Sam was shouting after class. She was walking in circles' making weird noises. ''You got an internship at NOAA? Starting ASAP? SHUT THE FUCK UP" She yelled as she punched my shoulder. ''I'm going to D.C on Monday for more information, so nothing is set in stones yet.''

''But still! There is no way you're not taking it. It's your dream!'' She was right, it is my dream. But it feels rushed, like it's being forced upon me. I thought I had a little more time before rushing off. But you only get an opportunity like this once. ''Grey! Did you hear the news?'' Sam yelled, and not to anyone, but to him. Asher. And he was
walking right over to us. I tried my best to make Sam shut up, but it was too late.
