''You can do it! Push!'' My whole body was shaking, pain sprouting through my entire being. Like someone was ripping min insides out from within. ''The baby's crowning! Come on Dawn, one last push!'' I will murder Sam after this, saying that giving birth is like taking a big shit.
Luckily, I warned Asher not to be all cheery unless he wanted me to push in a watermelon inside of him later, but him just holding my hand trough it was all the support I needed. All of the sudden I was done, Asher was crying like a mad man, and I was crying from the long hours of childbirth. ''Congratulation, it's a girl!'' the nurse said and placed the baby on my chest. ''She's perfect'' Asher muttered from his teary voice, and he was right. She's perfect. ''We've only been here for a day, we're not ready to take her home yet! What if something happens?''
''Ms. Grey, this is the hard part. You just did the easy part, being a parent is scary. I've been there, but you'll be fine.'' Frankly I don't care, I don't want to leave this safe heaven. ''Come now Dawn, let's take her home.'' Asher slowly led me out of the comfort of the hospital, and I was having a panic attack all the way home. Making Asher drive slower than the people on the street. But all I could think was that at any moment something horrible could happen. What if we didn't use the car seat in the right way? What if someone hits us? ''We're home, come now Dawn. It's all right.''
I was shaking, so up in my mind I didn't even notice that we had arrived. That we're now entering the world of parenthood.
''Just look at her little face when she sleeps, she looks like an angel.''
''She do, maybe that's her name?''
''You want to name our child Angel Grey? No freaking way. I didn't carry her for nine months to name her Angel Grey.''
''What's so wrong with Angel? After all, she's our little angel.''
''Not happening Asher, might as well name her to Lucifer Grey. Sounds better.''
''Hey!'' Asher muttered and gave me a hug.
''How about we call her Gwyn?''
''Gwyn?'' Asher muttered as he looked down at her. ''Gwyn'' he said and smiled down
at her. ''Welcome home Gwyn.'' He whispered as he gently kissed her forehead.
