This is it. I am moving, once again. My bags are packed, and mom promised to sell the rest of my furniture that was left behind. I was excited, but nervous.
Sam had promised to drive me to the airport, which I now highly regret.

''Are you sure about this? I mean, what about me? What will I do while you are gone?''
''Relax Sam, you'll be fine. After all you have that guy, what's his name? Kent something?''
''Once again, it's Charles. And he could never! And I mean never, replace you.''
''You don't have to replace me, I'll come back on holidays and you're always welcome to visit me. In fact, you must. Or I will have to unfriend you.''

''Hey! That's not fair. And I will visit all the time, no way I could leave you all by yourself. After all, who will set you up with someone if not me?''

''Sam, I'm moving for work. Not for guys, I won't have time for that anyways.''

''Just as long as there is time for me, now hug me woman before you'll leave.''
I embraced Sam in a tight hug. I've always enjoyed her being taller, it makes the hug 100 times better. But after our messy years of friendship, I never thought it would be hard to say goodbye. At least for now. Sure, she could be crazy and just so fucking annoying. But she was my crazy and annoying best friend, and I would miss her.
''Sam, you have to let go. I have to go now.''
''One more minute Dawnie.''
She broke the hug and tears started streaming down both our faces.
''Call me when tomorrow?''

''Of course.''

I slept through the entire flight, and when I left the plane, I could feel the cold air in my lungs. I got my bags and looked for my cab, and there it was with a man holding a sign with my name. I gladly walked over and told him the address that Mr. Klover had sent me. The drive wasn't too long, and the city was stunning. I've never been in D.C before, and this time I enjoyed the change happening in my life.

The driver pulled up to a small apartment building, it had green plats graving on the side of the building and a little small yard with flowers. Way better than the shit whole I had in LA. I was just about to call Mr. Klover when a man walked out the building waving at me. ''Ms. Foster! How was the flight?'' So that's what he looks like, he was of average height, almond skin, black hair and hazel eyes.

''It went very well, thank you.''

''Here let me take that for you.''

And before I could insist that I would carry my own suitcase he took it and headed In to the building. My apartment was on the second floor, and the inside did not disappoint. It had a newly renovated kitchen, a small living room and a bedroom so big it also had a little walk-in-closet. The bathroom had its' own washer and dryer,
and even a bathtub. Am I in heaven? It sure feels like it.

''I hope everything is to your liking. It's not much, but this is the building all our interns live in.'' ''No, it's great. Thank you.''

''My pleasure, here is some papers on the bus. It leaves right across the street, I figured you would like a day or to, to settle in. Dose Wednesday suit you?''

''It sounds great, at what time?''

''We start at 8am, but if you could come at 7.30 that would be good, so you could get a little tour before meeting the crew.''

''That should to just fine. I look forward to it.''

''As do we, well here is your keys. Just call If you need anything.''

'Thank you, Mr. Klover.''

''Please call me Jean. See you on Wednesday.''

I closed the door and took a deep breath; this is not a dream. This is my new reality. I am exactly where I'm supposed to be.
Now all I have to do is buy some furniture off
of craigslist. It only took my 1 hour to find sofa, dining table, a bed and a small tv. The best part? They all could deliver it straight here, thank God for that. Considering that I don't have a car, yet. I started unpacking and I really should have brought more stuff with me. Like way more stuff. But I'll figure it all out, one day at a time. The future starts today.
