I woke up by a big snore coming from Cam, I was so scared I almost fell out of the bed.
Last night was more than perfect, and after the kiss we'd shared I knew Cam felt the same as me. But more importantly I really appreciated that he didn't force me to do anything I wasn't comfortable doing. Instead he had just been there for me, enjoying our time together.

I didn't really think our friendship would be anything else than a friendship, but I'm happy that it became something more. Sure, we aren't boyfriend and girlfriend but this was something. Something more than I could have hoped for. Cam was still asleep when I woke up, so I gently got out of bed and headed down to the kitchen and prepared some breakfast. When I just had cleaned away some dishes Cam walked down, his black hair was messed up and frizzy and his blue and brown eyes were tired. He yawned and gave me a hug from behind. "Smells delicious" he said, and kissed my back head. "Relax Alaska, it's just toast and juice" I said with a little laugh down my throat.
We ate breakfast in silence, still adjusting to the bright light from outside. When we had finished breakfast I heard the door open, and his parents came home. I didn't know where they had been yesterday, and I didn't really mind them being away even though we didn't do anything inappropriate. "Well aren't you two up early?"

Cams mom said, smiling at us both. His dad went straight to their room and his mom tagged along, leaving us alone. I took a pair of sweatpants from Cam and my dress and gave him a gentle kiss, then headed home. Mom and dad were still

sleeping when I got home, so I got into the warm shower.
When I got out of the shower I looked at the photo from yesterday that Cam had sent me, I looked ridiculous in that dress. But I really enjoyed it, it was my first picture with Cam and

it was perfect. He was perfect. I just stared at the photo for another couple of minutes, until I heard my mom knock at my door. "Dawn sweetie? Are you home?" She said as she slowly opened the door. She came in and sat on the bed

besides me and peak over at the photo from yesterday. "Did you two have a good night?" She said and stroked my cheek. I gave her a little smile, "yeah. It was perfect." I said, but as I said it I saw something in moms eyes change. She looked at me with a sad tinted smile, her eyes looked darker than they usually does and

she coughed a little. Adjusting her voice. "Sweetie. There's something I have to tell you." She said, and I didn't like the tone in her voice, not even a little bit. I could feel my heart jump so hard, it felt like it was about to explode. I didn't say anything, because I didn't know what to say. Was she and dad getting a divorce?

Did dad or Felix die when I wasn't home? "Sweetie, your dad has gotten a job in Chicago. We're moving once you've finished your freshman year." She said, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I'm moving to Chicago? No way, not now. Not when I finally get to be happy, not when I've just met the person I want to
spend forever with.
My head started to spin, and I just wanted to cry my eyes out. I was moving in barley 5 months, hundreds of miles away from here, away from

Cam. "Sweetie, I know this is big news, but you have 5 more months to enjoy your time here. After all, wouldn't it be fun to live somewhere else a while?" She said, trying to comfort me. And right now I wish someone had died, because then I wouldn't have to move. Then I just had to go to a funeral and be able to stay here with Cam. I pushed mom out of my bedroom and cried my eyes out on my bed for the rest of the day.
Then Cam came over, and I didn't even realize it was after dinner. My eyes were bloodshot red from all the crying, and I felt so embarrassed.

Sure, I had cried in front of Cam before but not like this. He walked over to me and hugged me tightly. "What happened Dawn?" He said, as he pulled away to dry the tears of off my cheeks. "I don't want to move Cam" was all I could say.
