"Happy birthday to you!'' I blew out the candles and made a wish. I am officially old, I think I can properly say that I am a grown up. A true adult. Sure, I was that when I was 21, but being in your mid twenties makes me feel like a real adult, if that makes sense. It's been a bunch of crazy years, me kind of falling in love with Grey. Then moving to D.C. then back home to find out that I had cancer, to meeting Cam again. And speaking of the devil, teenage me is so happy to call him my man.
Sure, it's rocky with long-distance and he isn't exactly like he was in our teenage years. And don't get me wrong, I love him. I truly do. But he can be a little much, like two months ago when I was in Seattle, and we went to the club. This man walks up to me and starts talking to me, calling
me Emma. Obviously not me, and before I could say that's not me, Cam rush in and pushes the guy. I've never seen him so angry before, and since then has been kind of uptight. But I still love him very much. "What did you wish for?''''Come on Cam! She obviously whished for some birthday sex, what else??''
''Really Sam? I did not!'' I gave Sam a little hit and laughed it off. But me and Cam hadn't had sex in a while, so the idea sounded quiet appealing. Me and him, maybe some whipped-cream and strawberries.
''I actually have something special planned for the birthday girl, which do not include you. And by you, I'm talking to you Sam.''
''Oh, come on! You can't separate us! We're a package deal, you get one then another free of charge.''
''Bye bye now Sam.''
Sam hugged me tightly and headed out. I wave her bye and walk over to Cam to give him a kiss.
''Okay, get that fine ass in the shower and dress for something fancy.''
''Is it the surprise? Where are you taking me?''
''Shhh, you'll have to wait and see. Now hurry along.''
I rushed to the shower and quickly rinsed off. I blow-dried my hair and put on some sexy black underwear. And to top it off, I put on a thrifted Prada dress. It was hugging me in all the right places, and I felt sexy.
Me and Cam rarely did anything like this, date nights usually were spent ordering take-out food and watching a movie. We've been seeing each other for almost two years now and the younger me would be a little disappointed that this was it, that there weren't practically any sparks or fireworks between us. She would look at us and
wonder, what happened to the two of you? And all i would be able to say would be that we grew up and that things change. People argue, and work happens. But when our nights are long and were drunk i wish i still was the 16-year-old me. Naive and stupid.
16-year-old me would know that the fights we have isn't love. She'd probably say something like "the prince would never harm the princess, is he not our prince?" I know, stupid. Right? But anyhow, the fights are few and never last long. It's moments like this, right here that matters.
I headed down only to see Cam in a black suit looking like prince charming. And my oh my, I was so ready for the night. Cam took me to a Restaurant named providence, located in the heart of LA. The restaurant was super fancy, and every woman smelled of Chanelle N5. We got seated and the Meny had everything you
could have wished for. If you weren't a vegan like I am. I looked desperately for anything vegan, but not even their salads were animal free.''Would you like to order?'' The waiter said with a gentle smile.
''I'll take the Lamb, rare with a glass of your best red.''
''And for the lady?''
''Do you have anything vegan?''
''We have the Ceasar salad, where we can remove the chicken. Otherwise, I'm afraid
