Phoebe had been unconscious but sedated in the hospital for several hours. Tim had never left her side, Lucy had offered to go to their house to take care of Beau. The doctor had told Tim that she would wake up within the next several hours. The doctor walks in with his clipboard as he sees Tim sitting at the edge of the hospital bed reading a magazine.

"Tim, can I have a word with you? " he asks, noticing Tim has been in the same spot from last night. Tim gets up from his chair and looks back at Phoebe before the doctor. The doctor looks down at the clipboard before letting out a soft sigh.

"Phoebe had suffered a tremendous amount of stress on her body. She has three broken ribs, a concussion , bruising around the body but.." he trailed off looking down at the paper work briefly. Tim sensed something was more serious. He grew concerned as he folded his arms across his chest "Phoebe suffered what we call broken heart syndrome, her heart had dealt with an incredible amount of stress. Her heart beat is currently abnormal, we are monitoring it, and providing medication as treatment. We do not want to induce surgery. We are afraid that her heart may not be able to handle that amount of stress. She will need to stay here for close monitoring". He explains to Tim.

Tim sighs with wide eyes as he feels himself becoming anxious "heart surgery?" He says in shock. The doctor nods his head "Theirs a good chance that she may not need it. The medication is very reliable and strong. But, I do have to explain if it doesn't work." He tells him. Tim nods his head "What are the chances of her not needing surgery?" He asks. The doctor sighs and places a hand on his shoulder "I am very hopeful the medication will pull through. She will need to be home for a few months, but, I think it will be fine Tim" he says to him in hopes to reassure him.

Tim nods his head and thanks the doctor he felt somewhat relieved but still worried of the possibility. The doctor steps out of the room as Tim walks back to this chair, and picks up his magazine.

He looks over at Phoebe and lets out of soft sigh. He couldn't wait for her to wake up. He missed her so much. He promised himself he would never let Phoebe be put in danger ever again.

Phoebe starts to stir and her eyes slowly open and close as they adjust to the bright fluorescent lights. She looks over at Tim "Teen rebel?" She asks him her voice was very hoarse.

Tim puts the magazine down and smiles at her "Yeah, I'm doing a quiz on which Harry Styles song matches my personality" he jokes.

Phoebe smiles "I'd say maybe Fine Line" she says to him. He rolls his eyes playfully "I have no idea what that song is" he says putting the magazine down.

He takes her hand into his "How bad is it?" She asks him. She hadn't even seen herself in the mirror but she knew it was bad.

Tim sighs softly and looks over at her face, she was so beautiful to him. But, each bruised she had on her made him want to cry.

"You have a few broken ribs, a concussion, and some bruising.. but the doctor wants to monitor your heart. It's under a lot of traumatic stress right now" he explains to her.

Phoebe sighs and nods her head as she processes what he said. She was worried she didn't want heart surgery so she was only praying that everything would be fine.

Phoebes stomach growls loudly causing the two to laugh.

"You know what I could go for right now?" She asks him. She could practically feel her mouth watering. Tim holds up a bag and a cup.

"A double cheeseburger, and a Dr. Pepper? From In n' Out?" He asks her. Phoebe smiles widely "Yeah" she says with a laugh. He knew that was one of her favorite fast food places.

He hands her the food and places the drink on her table. She looks over at him with a smile "You know me so well" she tells him.

He places a hand on her leg in comfort "That's because I love you" he tells her. She smiles "I love you too Tim, thank you" she says before digging into her food.

A few hours had gone by, everyone had came to visit Phoebe from the station. She was great-full for all the love, and presents she received from everyone. Lucy had gotten her a huge get well basket that she made, but behind the smile she had on was a huge amount of guilt. She couldn't stop blaming her self for everything. Despite Tim and everyone else telling her it wasn't her fault, the thought in the back of her mind made it seem like it was.

Phoebe was set to be in the hospital for about three days before she could be discharged. The doctors were closely monitoring her heart as the medication was being taken each day. With each day that had passed Tim and Phoebe were growing more anxious about if she needed surgery or not.

Phoebes doctor walks in the room with a soft smile on his face, and his usual clipboard in hand.

"Phoebe? How are you feeling?" He asks her. She smiles "I'm ready to go home" she jokes. He smiles "Well, your wish is my command. Your heart is responding well to the medication. We are discharging you today. You're ordered to be home for about 2 months, with a consistent use of a heart monitor until you return back to work. I will have the nurse give you additional instructions" he says with a proud smile.

Both Phoebe and Tim nod their heads both relieved to be able to go home. Tim was going to take some time off of work to take care of Phoebe both physically and mentally.

The doctor excused himself soon after and Phoebe looked over at Tim with a smile knowing her face. He smiles and pulls her into a hug.

"I love you so much baby, let's go home" he says to her.

Ahh soft Tim! I'm so glad Phoebe is okay! Updates coming soon! How do we like this chapter? Leave your thoughts below!
