(Note: I know JARVIS and Vision are basically the same thing, but let's pretend they're not, for the sake of this story)
~Tony Stark POV~
There was something off about that kid. Not only did she look awful, like she just got beaten up pretty badly, but she was also acting weird. She flinched when I slammed the door open. I could see by her nails that she bites them a lot. I didn't believe her when she said she fell. I wanted to know- was it her parents? Other kids? Maybe a boyfriend? She looked around 13, so probably not. And even though I usually hate these "little missions", I decided that it was my responsibility to make sure she was safe. I mean, that's what us Avengers do.
When I got to the Tower, I went straight to Bruce and Steve and said:
"I need to find some stuff about a kid I just rescued."
"Um...care to explain that? And maybe what took you so long to get here?" said Cap, crossing his arms and raising his eyebrows in amusement.
"No time for that. JARVIS, search for information about a girl named Hannah. Possibly a Midtown School of Science and Technology student".
"What's going on?" asked Bruce.
"I found three results for Hannah- Midtown School of Science and Technology" said the AI.
"Thanks, JARVIS." I said as I took a look at the photos.
"There! Tell me everything you can find out about Hannah Williams" I said.
"Yes, sir." replied JARVIS.
"Why are we stalking this kid again?" asked Cap.
"I rescued this little girl who was stuck on a roof. She wouldn't tell me what happened, but she had a swollen lip and a black eye. She looked nervous and flinched at sudden moves. I'm worried she might be abused by her parents".
"Oh" said Bruce, his face getting serious.
"Wait...come on, let's not jump to any conclusions..." commented Steve. "Kids sometimes get into fights. Shouldn't we leave this to the school or something?"
"You said that we need to do more of this..."boring citizen stuff", I reminded him. And this kid might actually need us. What's wrong with doing a little research? What if I'm right and we can help her get a better life?"
He thought for a moment.
"Yeah, you're right."
"Say that again, I love hearing it" I smirked.
