Storm

"Damn it" I mutter.

"It's fine, we just have to hurry" said Nat.

"We're like, 2 miles away from the camping!" I whine.

"I don't know about you, but I can get there fast" smirked Pietro.

I punched his shoulder slightly and he almost fell in the river.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to push you that hard!" I said, grabbing his arms to secure him.

"Guys, let's hurry, we don't have much... time" said Bruce, as a shower of rain started.

I tried to cover my head with my hands, already shivering, as cold raindrops dripped down my spine.

"Let's move!" yelled Tony, to cover the sound of the storm, and we started running.

"I...am so...gonna die...of pneumonia" I panted as my sneakers hit the ground.

"Don't waste your breath!" said Clint.

"I don't care... I told you this was a...very...bad...idea" I inhaled deeply. My clothes were soaking wet and dragging me down, my hair was dripping and I was freezing from the cold wind.

The rain showed no signs of stopping, the sky was furrowed with lightning and I heard a thunder right over my head, causing me to drop to the ground. The loud noise, again. I dipped my hands in the mud as I tried to catch my breath and not panic. Bucky noticed and approached me.

"Come on" he said, pulling me up. "We're all in this together".

I didn't protest further and just followed him, my feet slipping in the mud and my chest pinching with pain from the effort.

"I think I can see the- woah!" Sam yelled, before slipping down a slope and rolling a few times through the leaves. Wanda tripped and fell over him. I laughed at them, before helping them up.

"Look, that's our camping!" I squealed in excitement, pointing towards a small, blurry sight in the distance. My shoes were filled with water and splashed at every step I took, but I regained my motivation as I saw the end of the tunnel.

"Come on!" I screamed towards the rest, hurrying up the pace.

"What the hell is this?" asked Clint, pulling a branch out of his wet sock. Hilda, the owner of the camping, let us change clothes inside her house and warm up in front of the fireplace before going back to our tents. It didn't feel like March outside, it was freezing. I was shivering as the warm waves hit me and my body's temperature adjusted. I felt my hands and feet defrost.

Wanda kindly draped a blanket over my shaking shoulders.

"How are we gonna start a campfire if it's raining?" I asked.

"Actually, it looks like the sun came out" Hilda said, pulling the curtains to reveal a rainbow outside.

"That's pretty" added Wanda.

"Well, let's go, then! S'mores, here we come!" I laughed and got up, ruffling Nat's hair on the way out, gesture which she surprisingly responded to with a little smile.

We managed to light a fire using Hilda's logs and Bruce's matches that he (thankfully!) wrapped in tinfoil so they didn't get wet. The fire was warm and cozy, so I curled up on the wooden bench next to it. I put my hood on and smiled, the flames reflecting in my eyes. Small ashes flew from the fire and the logs made a peaceful crackling sound. I felt the warmth of the flames against my face. I closed my eyes, just for a second...

"Hannah? Hey, kid!" I heard a muffled sound.

"Yo, Poodle!" I heard the voice again and snapped out of my dream, before giving Tony an annoyed look.
