Rainy day

"God, the weather sucks!" I said, looking at the gloomy sky and the drizzle. A cold wind hit my face and I closed the window.

"It's almost Christmas! Where's the snow?" I spoke again, feeling grumpy.

"Cheer up, at least we're inside" said Cap, reading the newspaper.

"I don't care! I just want some Christmas-y weather!" I whined.

"It's almost as if mother nature didn't care about what you want" replied Tony sarcastically.

"All I want for Christmas is...snoooow" sang Wanda. I smiled at her.

"I'm bored' I sighed, dropping onto the couch.

"Could you be bored...elsewhere?" asked Tony, looking at his phone.

I sighed.

"I guess I'll just go for a depressing walk or something".

I grabbed my coat and headed towards the door, yawning.

"Sounds like a plan!" replied Tony, giving me a thumbs up.

I felt a wind through my hair as Pietro zoomed over.

"Don't be so dramatic! Let's do something fun!" he took the coat from my hand and threw it on the couch.

"We could play Twister" suggested Wanda.

"Yeah, sounds fun!" I replied.

"Who wants to join?" asked Pietro, opening the game box.

Clint and Bruce weren't around, Tony and Steve said they were too old for this game and Thor was too clumsy, but Vision, Nat and Sam joined.

"Care to join us, Buckaroo?" asked Sam.

"Call me that again and I'll throw you out the window, you stupid oversized pigeon" replied Bucky.

They started arguing.

"Loki? How about you?" I asked, trying to cover the boys' yelling.

"Don't be ridiculous" he scoffed, getting back to the book he was reading.

I rolled my eyes. Sam came towards us, sulking.

"I swear one day I'm gonna steal his metal arm and flush it down the toilet" he said.

"Okaay, time to play!" said Wanda.

"Wanda, move your right hand to the color yellow" said Vision, looking at the little cardboard wheel.

Wanda was pretty flexible, but she lost her balance when she tried to extend her arm and almost fell, but Pietro quickly caught her.

"Clumsy!" he teased her. She wiggled her fingers and a red, glowing magic headed towards him, causing him to fall.

"Ha, you lose!" she said happily.

"Cheater!" he gasped. "Vision, that doesn't count, right?" he asked, standing up.

"Let me check the rules book" he replied.

"Nice one!" I told Wanda and she smiled.

We were both sitting in difficult positions and on the verge of collapsing, yet we gave each other a grin under Pietro's annoyed look.

"Bet you didn't see that coming!" I giggled.

Nat smirked a little, but she was way more focused than us. She was also incredibly flexible and was currently sitting in the splits. Sam was not doing well.

"I'm gonna fall...I'm gonna fall!" he kept saying.

"The rules do not mention anything about the use of magic in order to cheat" said Vision.

"See?" added Wanda with a smile, raising her eyebrows.

"Hannah, move your left leg to the color green" said Vision.

I tried to slid my left leg behind my right leg and turn, but failed miserably. I fell on my stomach with a thud and started laughing.

"Sam, right leg to color red" said Vision.

"I hate this game" he replied, panting, as he unsuccessfully tried to stretch. He rolled over to the floor.

"I'm just gonna...sit here for a while".

"Wanda, left hand to color blue".

She also slipped and fell over me with a squeal.

"Karma" chuckled Pietro, while she frowned at him.

Nat was obviously the winner, but she looked like she had expected it.

"Cool game. A little too easy, if you ask me" she stated.

I went to the kitchen to grab some snacks. The wind was whistling and the rain was hitting the windows, creating peaceful sound in the cozy living room.

I stretched my arms, satisfied, and then looked around.

Wanda was laughing about something Vision has said, Pietro was (attempting) to flirt with Nat, Sam was annoying Bucky, Loki was reading his book and occasionally looking around the living room, Tony was typing on his phone and smiling (probably texting Pepper) and Steve was peacefully sipping his coffee.

I felt like I almost had a second family here. I couldn't believe how happy I was just to be surrounded by these people.

"Who's up for another round of Twister?" asked Wanda.

"Me!" I couldn't help but smile.
