CHAPTER 13: "The stars align"

My alarm clock ran. It was 7:00 am. It took me two minutes to get up of the bed. I was thinking about Middle Earth, Kili, Fili, Thranduil, Galadriel, Haldir, Arwen, Aragorn, Thorin, Celahir, Saruman...and I could feel a tear in my eye when in my mind I heard Legolas' name.

I live with Katie in a small house. The house has two floors. Two bathrooms, three bedrooms, a big kitchen and a living room. We live together because we started college and our parents said it was best if we could live together near our college so we were 15 minutes walking from it.

I had a shower and then I got dressed. I went downstairs to the kitchen and I saw Katie, she was having breakfast.

"It took you a little to get up of the bed, right?" asked me Katie.

"I was just...thinking" I said.

"Thinking about what?" she asked.

"It's been a year. We can't wait forever for them. I'm thinking about just let it all go. I mean, forget about him, don't you think so?" I asked Katie.

"I don't want to give up on Kili. No one could made me feel this way before. I am in love with him" said Katie.

"I'm giving up on him, I just can't stand another year waiting for someone who lives...I don't know where he lives!!" I said.

"In Mirkwood?" she said. I looked at her madly. she laughed.

"You know what I mean, maybe they are living in another dimension or another planet, I just don't know!" I said.

We had breakfast in silence. It was cold and it was snowing outside. We took our coats and went to college.

"I have to say I'm glad it's Friday" said Katie looking at the blue sky.

"Yes, me too" I said sadly. She looked at me.

Fifteen minutes later we came into the college. We saw Jack put a paper on the bulletin board. There was a party tonight in his house.

"Hello. How are you, beautiful girls?" asked Jack.

Jack is two years older than me. He had an obsession with me. In the whole year he was aking me to go on a date with him. Of course, I said no.

"We are fine, thanks" said Katie rudely. Katie was angry at him. She really hates him.

"I hope to see you tonight at my party" he winked at me and I smiled. He came into a class.

"I know what you are thinking and the answer is no" said Katie. "Are you planning to go and finally have a date with a jerk? Did you think what Legolas could say about it? Don't remember what he said? Please, don't fall in love with someone else? If Kili told me that, I won't ever fall in love with another guy.. or dwarf" said Katie.

She couldn't let me answer her questions, she was talking so fast and she was angry.

"I know what I'm doing" I said rudely. I took off my ring and gave it to her. I ran away into a class.

I didn't know why I answered to her in that way. I got tired of waiting and wondering when I will see him again.

Later that day, I told Katie I was going to the party and she told me she was coming too.

I looked inside of my wardrobe for a dress and I saw the one who gave us Arwen. I put in inside of a box. I didn't want to see it. I looked for another dress and I tried on.

It was white as snow and had glitter. I let my hair with waves. Katie came into my room.

"It looks like you are having a date tonight" said Katie so sadly while I was putting red lipstick on my lips. She was perfect as always with a red dress. Her hair was straightened and her lips were red.

"Actually, I have a date" I said.

"Are you sure what you are doing? Don't you remember what Galadriel said about elves? He could die for a broken heart!" said Katie.

"Why did he fall in love with me knowing I'm far away?" I asked her.

"That's true love. He is waiting for you like Kili is waiting for me. I will kiss and hug him when I see him" said Katie.

I stopped talking. I was tired of everyhting.

We took our keys and went to Jack's house. It was a pretty cold night. We could see how the stars were shining.

The music was louder and there were so many people dancing and drinking beer.

"What do we have here? They finally came!!" said a voice. We turned around and saw Jack with a friend. We didn't know who he was. "This is my cousin, Jesse" said Jack.

Katie found some friends from her class and she sat next to them. I went out and saw a star that shone brighter than the others. I thought about Legolas and I smiled. I regretted what I had said before about him. I was really in love with him. I went to where Katie was to say that to her.

Katie came closer to me but before I could say any word, Jack and Jesse appeared and took us from our hips and both tried to kiss us but we refused. They were hurting us.

Suddenly, we saw an arrow on the wall. I knew that arrow!! It was from Kili but it was a dream, they could not being here... And they were there, behind Jesse and Jack. Legolas and Kili were pointing t them.

"Leave them alone!" said Kili. He was really angry.

"DO WHAT HE SAID!!" yelled Legolas. My heart jumped.

Jack and Jesse wee afraid but the left us alone.

"Who are these guys?" said Jack

"Our BOY-FRIENDS!!" said Katie so happily to him.

Katie jumped into Kili's arms and they kissed. Legolas was still watching Jack so madly and then he looked at my hand. I forgot I gave my ring to Katie. He looked at me. He was angry and sad.

"Let's get out of here" said Legolas to Kili. They grabbed our hands and we left the party.

We were going to our house. Legolas didn't look at me or talk to me in all the way home. I looked at Katie, she was holding hands with Kili. She was so happy. I was about to cry and I looked down.
